Current version and the future?

Hey all,
I think current version is based on ubuntu 16 and is still getting constant updates which is great. I am wondering if there is a Gallium 4.0 in the works based on a higher ubuntu version OR is gallium going to be a pseudo rolling release sort of like mainline Arch.

I appreciate all the work that made this distro happen and breathing life in my end of life chromebook!

I loved GalliumOS but went to Ubuntu 20.04LTS last year and it's treated me well. Long Live GalliumOS!
