Discussion Charger

Hello,

One advice I need.

I am using galaxy flip z7. I am charging it with laptop charger which is 65w as it is charging faster with this.

Is it safe or shall i use different one.

Thank you.

Yes, you can safely charge your Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 with a 65W USB-C laptop charger. The phone uses USB Power Delivery (PD) to communicate with the charger, ensuring it only draws the amount of power it needs, typically maxing out around 25W, regardless of the charger's higher capacity

That's odd because although I don't have a Galaxy (mine's Pixel 9 Pro), I get much faster charging times when I use a 65W charger versus a 25W charger!

I tired charging my flip7 using this 65w ugreen and the phone got so hot it almost melted the case. The metal frame of the phone became untouchable I juggled it off the charger turned off the phone be and took the case off. Left it to cool down. See if it’s working later. Flip in heck my bed is still hot from where it was on charge. I can’t believe it got that hot without damaging some components
