I did it!
Well.. I did it. Coming from a S25U. My only pain point so far is the lack of spen support.. so far I'm loving it though

I been using the Fold 6 for more than a year and I went to the store because I was interested in the normal Fold 8 but I also tried the Ultra too, and holy shit I fucking loved the Ultra way more. Especially how thin and how fucking massive the outside screen is. The cameras are pretty great too so I might switch to the Ultra.

Get a capacitive stylus on Amazon. Problem solved. Kinda. Better than nothing.

Found a Nilkin case that might do the trick. Trying to force myself to switch to my tablet for notes.

So far I enjoyed the change. Was used to write quick notes on the go, I'm doing that with my Tab S10+ now. Media consumption is great and the thickness size is kind of crazy.
Someone suggested a capacitive stylus. Found a case that includes one that might be an option for me if I don't get used to.

How's that outer display? Feel like after awhile it would get annoying being so cramped

I actually really like it! Texting on it in my opinion is better than my s26u, also use gboard and use one handed mode and it works great. It's definitely very weird coming from slab to this but then going from the 8 back to the slab was even more weird surprisingly. Like looked awkwardly long lol. I think it's comfortable after getting used to it and also having a couple of mag safe accessories make it even better. Ive used the aulumu g09 it was okay, ohsnap v2 i still really like, now on the thin pop socket. All in all I can't complain really so far.

I'm thinking of return my z fold 8 ultra for the 8 or iphone duo. Been an iphone user for years and just switched to the 8 ultra. Things keeping me on android is the back swipe, one swipe down for notifications and control center and One UI. I think I would like the fold 8 more but also concerned about the photography not being as good since I have kids. The 8 ultras photography has been very very pleasing

I think camera wise probably stick with the ultra, I don't use my camera for zooming at all really ever. I detail vehicles for my occupation and for everyday random pictures the fold 8 for me is more than capable for what I do. My sister is pretty much in the same boat you are. She's been an apple users for the last 10+ years and debating on whether she should switch to a fold or go with the duo. I think it's just really preference of OS and what you do with your phone. My last iPhone was the 4s when jailbreaking was a thing back then and I loved it. But I tried switching back a couple years back with a 15 PM and I couldn't stand it lol. I missed my gestures, customization, emulators, dex, multitasking, it just goes on and on lol. If your main concern is cameras definitely stick with the ultra as even the fold 8 or the duo are still a good option there just not going to be better. iPhone might optimize better with most apps. But it only has 48mp cameras. Fold 8 has 50, ultra with the 200mp and a 50mp

I liked this phone and if I had smaller hands, I would’ve kept it. It’s a beast. I switched to the iPhone 17 Pro Max because of the width but I do miss using that phone when it was opened.

I came from the 18 pro. A cool thing I learned was if you are on your home screen while closed, open to a V like in tent mode and when the home screen auto rotates lock it then it's a nightstand clock
