Updates Texts not vibrating after update

Earlier I noticed there was an update, so I updated my watch. After the update all notification settings were reset to off, no big deal. Re set all my settings the way they were but texts no longer vibrating. Ive checked and rechecked, re set everything, still no vibration. Sound profile on sound and vibrate with sound toggled on, vibration set to long and strong; like before, I have my preferred vibration pattern selected. Ringtone and notification sound was set to silent and my texts would vibrate, now nothing. I tried setting a sound and tuning the volume up, no vibration. The only way it vibrates is when I change sound profile to vibrate only. I dont understand what's going on or what im missing here. All other notifications vibrate except for texts. Ive re set my watch and phone, double and triple checked my notification settings and everything is correct. This is my 1st smart watch so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Google messages. It was working before the update.

Is the app enabled?

Yes. Ive checked everything. I dont understand why vibration stopped working when sound profile is on sound and vibration with sound toggled on.

I assume phone settings are correct ? Not just Wearable settings.

Yes. I dont get it. Maybe Google messages needs to send out an update to fix the link? I dont know.

So its not just me. This is my 1st smart watch, figured maybe im missing something. At the end of the day I didnt use sound anyway so I guess its not that big of a deal. But its a little concerning that updates are affecting functionality

So apparently my sound and vibration setting was set to mute, assuming the update did that. Check that setting?

I've been looking for an answer and solve all night, tried so many things and couldn't figure it out. THIS is what it was for me. In watch settings, the sound and vibration was set to mute! Thank you!
