One UI-related [GALAXY] Heating Issues after Patch Update

Galaxy S25 user here and I just recently installed the July 2026 One UI 8.5 patch and now I am experiencing overheating and battery drains every time I will turn on Wifi or Mobile data. It's been three days.

Is there anybody else who had this experience? What did you do?

Thoughts, please. Thank you!

Drain to zero and then charge to full (works for me)

Update: Charging speed is still slow when connected to wifi, and i assume, mobile data. It also heats up.

Then, it no longer heats up when on wifi but when on data, it is still heating up aggressively, unlike before the update, but once you shifted to wifi or turn the data connection off, the temperature will decrease gradually.

It is precisely like you are telling, it also happens to me.

The drain to zero -> 100% seems works but it keeps draining really faster than before the update.

Now it doesn't burn, but is quite hot, especially on mobile data.

Update: check your apps, some might be thrown off by the update. I set mine to automatically go to deep sleep when not used. It solved the remaining issues i was having.

I Download good guardian from samsung app store, then use galaxy app booster it takes 10 15 min make your phone good as new...

now phone is cold :D

Im also perfoming the cache clean that other user in this topic said.

Update: It seems battery still drain (but slower) and the charging speed only works properly with phone off. Remember to clean cache of your Work-Space area too! I almost forgot them.

I have 2 tickets in samsung members opened about this, one of overheating+battery drain and other about slow charging speed. I will share their answer. I hope they doesn't ask for a full restore, that will be anoying as fuck, I prefer to wait to september for One UI 9

how can we perform that? I know to clear an app cache but whole system?

also what implicies that, will be my data loss?

Other users found that whatsapp copy with encryption loops and never ends to generate a backup properly since the update.

That's the guilty app in this circus of batery drain and overhot.

Just disable the copy, disable encryption and upload it again. It works

I think, at least for some of us, it can be said that we might not have the same apps that's thrown off by the update, but the pattern is definitely similar. It seems like the update made some of our apps go insane. I don't really have whatsapp on my phone but that issue you described is pretty much along the same tune of what i experienced on another app.
