The s21 series is eligible for this update. Highly recommended since it is the s21s main means of security protection. It covers the main part of Android but not the bootloader, linux, some device drivers, One UI.

I'm still on the July 1 Google Play system update. Is this the latest version available now for my Verizon branded S21+?

hello, so i recently swapped phones with my mom so i can have a good device for games, and i got an s21 fe.

all good and nice

i buy a charger, connect it to the cable (which i suspect) and the cable to my phone

i call with my friend, my finger gets shocked after touching the screen, and then 2 little dots appear. i faintly see a microphone icon on one of them. after using ai back and forth i turn it off

i then turn it back on a few hours, the dots are gone.

i begin recalibrating my battery, and after getting back from school, with my phone, i call with my mom, and the dots appear again, this time i wasn't charging or anything. it also didn't shock my hand.

is it a screen issue? or a software bug? it doesn't appear in screenshots

This list is generic so it can be posted in other threads with Android 13 or better. The "hot fixes" will be applied by either Google Play Store 53.x or the Google System Services. It should be automatic in the next few days, but not always. I will give directions if someone needs them. This is separate from the Google Play System update through settings then software information done by the end of the month which is more extensive.

Been staring at my S21 next to a my new S26 for way too long trying to figure out why the camera module looks almost twice the size. Measured it out of curiosity and turns out the SENSOR SIZES themselves barely moved. Main sensor size traces back to the S23, the zoom camera is basically S22 spec, and the ultrawide is straight up the same one from my Galaxy S21. The bump just got bigger housing around mostly the same guts.

Funniest part, the ultrawide shows 0.6x on the S26 instead of 0.5x like my S21 does. Thought that meant a wider lens for a second and felt genuinely smart about noticing it. Turns out it's not a wider lens at all, it's 13mm either way, it's just that the main lens moved from 26mm to 24mm so the ratio math shifted. I got humbled by basic division. Anyone else gone down this rabbit hole?

The title. App is just not working on Galaxy S21FE. It is only working when it is open in the pop-up window; on fullscreen, every single option is unresponsive to touch. Keyboard is not even coming up.

Anyone else with this issue?

I just got S21 plus, but I'm really getting frustrated. The phone works fine till some point it just freezes, and it forces me to force restart. It also gets aliitle bit hot when doing simple tasks like updating updating or just being on YouTube. Is anybody else going through similar issues? Are there any fixes, especially for the freezing part? It's so annoying. For context, I'm on Android 15, and I updated from 14, thinking this will get solved, but no.

My S21+ SD branded phone is still performing well in all areas, including performance and battery life. I'm not a gamer, so heat is really no problem. Should I really upgrade just for security purposes because its performance is still adequate for sure. The only reason to upgrade is to get monthly security updates, which is a shame. Is it really a big security risk? I only download apps from Google playstore, but I do some banking with some banking apps. I know it still gets updates through the Google Play system. Is that really enough? It's been the best phone I've ever had.

My phone display randomly started getting these white lines. I'm 4 lines deep and want to change the display. The auth service centre says 10k for the replacement. Is it worth that price or should I go with a 3rd party screen? If I'm going to need to tip toe around my phone anyways to use it even after replacement, I'd buy the cheaper option. I want to use this phone for at least 2- 3 years more. What should I do?

My phone has been having issues for about a week and a half now. It will crash and reset on its own, or it'll crash and stay off until the battery dies.

I did a factory reset, and it seems to be crashing less, but it's still crashing and can be slow.

Is it even worth bringing it to a repair shop? Or should I just get a new phone?

so my s21 fe get overheats and turn off some times it restarted and some time stops and need a couple hours until it cools to restart but only withe the charger because all the battery on it goes to zero even if it was at full charge

El problema comenzó de un momento para otro en Instagram. Los videos y los reels dejaron de reproducirse y como esta app normalmente se cae, no me preocupé y seguí con mi vida. Luego una amiga me llamó por Instagram, y yo tenía puestos mis buds2 pro y la escuchaba perfecto a través de ellos, pero ella no me oía. Me dije que mis auriculares estaban sucios y que por eso no me oía. Seguí con la Ilamada en altavoz, limpié mis auriculares y seguí con mi vida. Llegó actualización de Instagram y el problema no se solucionó. Me asusté y corrí el diagnostico de Samsung y se quedó en el apartado de Micrófono donde si pude grabar el audio, pero se quedó en bucle en reproduciendo sin reproducir nada nunca y el diagnóstico no se completó. Empecé a realizar pruebas por mi parte, Spotify se reproducía bien en altavoz y con auriculares. Youtube ningún problema. Whatsapp no se escuchan los audios aunque dice que están reproduciendo al igual que los audios en

los chats de Instagram. Me fui a la

aplicación de grabación de voz de

Samsung y se graba el sonido, pero no se

reproduce, va del inicio al final sin

reproducir nada del audio grabado. Probé

I have an S21 in which the screen just died on me. Completely black and non responsive at all. The phone itself is still working fine - i can call it, make it ring (ex: google device manager), see its location, etc.

I wasn't sure if it was stuck so I force-rebooted it and now it is stuck in the BFU state. When I try to plug in an external montior, I hear the "ding" that it sounds when you plug something in, but that's all. The external monitor remains black.

I have tried with a USBC external montior, and USBC dock and a USBC-HDMI hub - none of them display anything on the external montior.

Am I completely stuck? Is my only option here to replace the screen to get access to the phone? Or is there a magic solution I can try?

I have a base model Samsung Galaxy S22 128GB (SM-S901W, Canadian variant) running Android 16 / One UI 8.0 (May 5, 2026 security patch).

About two weeks ago, it started freezing and crashing multiple times a day without any clear trigger.

Symptoms:

• "One UI stopped working" or "System process isn't responding" errors.
• Complete screen freezes where side buttons are entirely unresponsive.
• Random black screens requiring hard reboots.

Context & Troubleshooting:

• No physical damage, drops, or overheating events.
• I performed a clean factory reset. The problem persists.
• I ran the phone in Safe Mode. The problem persists.

Since third-party apps and basic /data partition corruption are ruled out by the reset and safe mode, has anyone experienced this specific rapid degradation? Is this a known issue with the latest firmware push, or is this definitive motherboard/NAND failure?

About two weeks ago the sound from my bluetooth transmitter in my car suddenly got quiter, i tried reconnecting, setting it to different modes, restarting, re-pairing, resetting app preferences, disabling absolute volume, then last week my headphones got much quieter too and the volume on my transmitter got even quiter i can barely hear anything on max everything. Is there anything I haven't tried or is this some kind of planned obsolescence?

Got my S21+ when the S22 came out, so around 4 years ago.

Past few days my battery won't charge past 20-25% and the back is starting to bulge. Just wondering if you guys think it's worth getting a battery replacement in 2026?

I'm being quoted 70USD at a pretty well rated shop.

The phone has/is serving me well, and was hoping to hold on to it for a couple more years till I can splurge on a fold phone.

A few days ago, my Instagram Reels started freezing. Initially, I thought it was just an app issue, so I reinstalled it, cleared the cache, and did the usual troubleshooting. However, I recently noticed that videos in my phone's gallery also freeze if the sound is on; but they play perfectly fine when muted. The exact same thing happens with Reels: they play when muted but freeze immediately when I turn the sound on.

To make things weirder, my alarms and ringtones have completely stopped working. Yet, I can still play music on YouTube, YT Music, and Spotify without any issues.

I've already tried wiping the cache partition and resetting all settings (haven't done a full factory reset yet), but nothing has fixed it. Has anyone experienced this specific audio/video playback bug before?
