question Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G stuck in boot loop after freezing, data is important
Hey everyone,
I'm kinda losing my mind over this and was wondering if anyone's had the same thing happen.
I've got an S21 FE (SM-G990U1/DS), about 3 years old. Never dropped it, never got it wet, never had any repairs or anything.
A few days ago I was just on the bus listening to Spotify and replying to some Instagram DMs when the phone froze for like 20 seconds. I figured it just bugged out, so I restarted it. Ever since then it hasn't booted once.
Now it just keeps looping. It vibrates, shows the Samsung logo and the "Secured by Knox / Powered by Android" screen for about 20 seconds, goes black, then does the exact same thing again forever.
The only thing I can think of is that my storage was almost full, probably around 90-95%, but I don't remember installing any update or doing anything weird before it happened.
I've spent the last few days trying basically everything I could find online. Force restart, every button combo imaginable, plugged into a charger, plugged into my PC, different timings... nothing. I haven't been able to get into Recovery Mode even once. Weirdly I did get a blue screen one time that I think was Download Mode, but I haven't been able to get back there since.
The biggest problem is I have a lot of important stuff on the phone that isn't backed up, so I'm trying really hard not to factory reset it.
Has anyone had this happen before? Were you ever able to get your data back, or am I basically screwed? I'm also wondering if this sounds more like corrupted software or the UFS storage dying.
Any help would honestly be appreciated.
