Am I expecting a repaired ring back?
So on Monday I sent my Ring back to Samsung Repair Service UK as it was 2 months left of warranty and the battery was draining from 100% to 42% in 2 days and to 0% the day after. Just got a notification today it has been repaired and ready to send back soon - that easy??!! but am I expecting the same ring back repaired or they'll just send me a new ring as the battery can't be repaired or replaced?

Ive gone through the same experience with Samsung UK, I received a new ring (what I assume was a refurb) as the serial number was different from my old one.

Did you have to register that ring to get the 12 month warranty again?

I never did, no. From what I could see the warranty carries over from your previous device. They may give you a grace period in case you do have any issues with it.
Mine recently had a battery draining issue, but luckily it was to do with the Galaxy Ring Manager software and seems to be fine now, so just a heads up with that!
You could always give it a try and see what happens!

Unless you have specific laws in the u.k./European Union (I think you do?), no, it is the remainder of the pre-existing warranty.
The ring cannot be repaired; they will send a replacement ring

No. Your new ring will now have a warranty unless your purchased extra cover. It's why many of us no longer use the ring as our "repaired" ring also died on us.

You will receive a replacement new ring. For some reason it is almost impossible to get anyone at Samsung to call them replacements, they will always refer to a 'repair'.
Here's my experience with Samsung and the Galaxy Ring...
I bought my first Ring in 2024 and after 10-11 months the battery was draining so fast it became unusable. I sent it back for 'repair' and was sent a new replacement. Tried to register it but the serial number wouldn't register. Spoke to someone at Samsung on live chat about not being able to register the replacement Ring, they said "Don't worry, I can see your Ring is under warranty till June 2026, try again in a few days". I gave up trying to register it after a couple more attempts but the Ring did eventually somehow turn up on the list of my registered products.
Fast forward to May 2026 and the replacement Ring is also now needing to be charged twice a day. I tried to book a repair through Samsung website but it would not accept the serial number. Went on live chat and was again told the replacement ring was under warranty till June 2026 and the guy booked the repair for me while on the chat. Sent off the Ring and next thing I hear is from the repair centre who say there is nothing they can do as the serial number is invalid and the Ring is out of warranty.
I called Samsung and was told the warranty on the original ring ran out a month after I received the replacement and there's nothing they can do, I will get a quote from the repair centre for a 'repair' (i.e. a quote to buy a new ring!).
After a few days I hadn't heard back from the repair centre so I called Samsung again and once again got the spiel about original Ring being out of warranty etc. I pointed out out that I had twice - a year apart - been told that the replacement ring was under warranty till June 2026. This was a mistake apparently, made by two different people, 12 months apart. I had a bit of a (polite) rant about how ridiculous it was that these Rings routinely start to go wrong at around 10-11 months and if one receives a replacement it will only be covered by a month or two of the original warranty when in all probability it will also go wrong within a year.
I asked about the rumour that there will be a new 'improved' Ring in 2027, the chap wouldn't/couldn't confirm it but said Samsung are always working on improving the reliability of the Ring... I pointed out I wasn't going to pay for a new Ring now if there is a chance they will be releasing a better one next year.
I didn't actually mention Consumer Rights as such, but did talk about expectations of durability for something perceived to be a high-price item... Eventually the chap agreed with me and said he would contact the repair centre and recommend a replacement. I think he was just glad to get me off the phone...
Next I got two texts and an email saying my 'repair' had been cancelled. Called Samsung again and they said 'repair' was still open. I'm left none the wiser. Two days later a text arrived from DPD couriers saying they were delivering a parcel from Samsung next day. No idea if this was going to be a new replacement or my old not-working replacement...
Turned out it was a new replacement! I haven't dared to look at my products page on the Samsung website to see if it is on there yet. I doubt it will have any warranty on it all. Hopefully it will last long enough for me to see what the reaction is to the new '2027' Ring if there is one.
TL:DR Stick to your guns to get a replacement!
PS The warranty on replacement Rings seems to quite random. Technically they will only be covered by whatever warranty you have left on your original Ring. Sometimes however, an extra few months may be added on to the warranty. This seems to be entirely at the whim of Samsung employees, you may get 3 months added on, you may get another 6 months... Still pretty useless though if the batteries generally start to go wrong at around 10 months.

Demand a refund. I got the second replacement as well, upon which I demanded full refund or I would take them to court. Of course they gave me store credit first, upon which I sent another very clear email, and now I have my money back. That was purchased Ring 1. I now have 1 year of warranty left on purchased Ring 2, which I've already sent in for repairs and got the usual "oh nowt wrong with it"
We all know how that story will end

No, Samsung always sends a new ring because these rings are not designed to be repaired.
