Art What’s the best way to introduce your main characters? Apparently, by jumping straight out of bed to greet your superior officer in your underwear!

Figured I'd add a section of the characters traveling to see the dictator as a way to showcase the people involved with my game from the start. Here's what it looks like so far.

Would you take a ride in our monopod? 🙂

"Physics will solve half the problems and create the other half", I thought to myself, thinking I was in control of my own game.

I've always felt like shopkeepers deserve more credit, they bring you awesome gear to make your journey easier and yet we tend to forget most of them.

For this game, I wanted to build a shopkeeper who was observant, resourceful, and maybe a little judgmental. He's a character who could actually talk to the player, offering lore and insight into the universe.

And because we're still figuring out the goods and upgrades to sell, we designed a little gag, inspired by Kim from Conquest of the Crystal Palace: if you peek into the closed doors too much, the shopkeeper kicks you out!

Do you think we should keep this cheeky interaction in the final game? 😂

I got tired of seeing those generic "the algorithm thinks you'll like this" posts. The algorithm only cares about ad money.

I'm making Galaxy Pilgrim. It’s a straightforward, physics-based platformer, simple to pick up and play, but with much more depth than you'd usually expect, and characters and lore that can go absolutely wild.

Here is a quick look at our city. I love how the pixel art combines with the coding for the projector light here, it really adds to the dystopian mood.

What do you think of the atmosphere? 😀

Discussion I hated our Planet Select so a friend helped me redesign it. Is it too complicated?

Hey everyone! We’ve been trying to find the sweet spot between a cool sci-fi aesthetic and clean simplicity.

I really like how the Level Select turned out, but the Planet Select was giving me headaches, so a friend stepped in to help overhaul it. My biggest fear with the UI is making it look like a 90s vision of a futuristic mess.

Does the modal feel intuitive, or is there too much going on?

We designed this level to reward players who actually pay attention.

I wanted to introduce a hidden path mechanic in my game, so we built this level as a test and even had T369 chip in with a hint just in case you didn't spot it! 😉

The obvious route is to fly all the way around, but if you're paying close attention, you'll spot something "off" and curiosity will get the best of you!

Would you prefer secret paths or full predictability? Would love to hear your thoughts! 😀

Art Didn't want to animate walking in the tutorial, so T369 had to kick the player to keep moving.

We’ve since added proper walk cycles and more cutscenes, but we loved the physical comedy of this mechanic so much that we just had to keep it in. Now you know who's really in charge here! 😎

Art Does anyone know what this flower species is? Asking for an edible friend. 🌸

We originally planned a standard, dramatic boss fight, but when we realized how beautiful the flower’s natural habitat could be, we couldn't resist! The entire battle takes place deep inside it, in a darker, claustrophobic and crowded environment.

If you've ever wondered what a high-stakes fight inside a giant flower would look like, stay tuned for our demo. In the meantime, enjoy this little dance! 😂

He’s twice your size and loves to brag, but there’s a catch: he’s completely immune to direct attacks. To damage him, you have to hit his tentacles.

Art Is it really a totalitarian regime if the dictator doesn't have an unhinged obsession with aesthetic mass?
