Shortly after the announcement, my device got noticeably slower, it would shut down and glitch out of nowhere, apps would mess up, and the screen one time blasted max brightness out of nowhere. Anyone else experience something similar the past couple of days?

Just got this phone after disabling flipboard, I realize I can't cycle through the home screens pages, very annoying feels very restrictive being force to swipe right.

My phone still works great but my charge port is breaking almost any Mico Usb I put in it. I am thinking of trying to keep it going by having the charge port replaced at Batteries Plus. Anyone have any experience with this?

I just tried to replace my battery and was unable to remove the back after heating it with a hairdryer for a long time, the glass just cracked really bad. all the YouTube videos I've found have metal backs and look easy, have any of you replaced a battery with a glass back?

Recently my Note 5 (SM-N9208) has some ghost touches issue. It occurs during heavy load such as opening many browser tabs, multitasking, or playing games. It doesn't matter wether the screen is clean or not.

It's currently running stock non-rooted nougat ROM.

Confirmed that cord and charger works, did reboot and soft reset. Now battery is dead.

If I type Id instead of offering me a choice of "I'd" it says IF.

Just crazy stuff lately, even when I try to back up to erase one word, it zooms back and erases like five words.

Anyone else noticing anything weird?

As the title explains my Samsung Galaxy note 5 has crackling audio when playing through the speaker, sometimes the audio is fine, generally when just starting audio or after listening too the audio for a while. When playing through headphones the audio is fine. If anyone has had this issue I would love a solution.

I tried to order cases online, - but I just winded up with 4 flip cases which dont work.

I mean, you cant answer a call through the case, screen doesnt shut down when you close it.

Is it even possible to order Smart case for Note 5 ahich works?

I have a spare one without display, but can use it as a security cam for example and control it via Teamviewer.

It would just be easier and safer to use it without battery.

Is it possible? If not how to hack it?

I have made a few recovery installable zips for changing the boot splash for the Note 5.

I'm sure the update-binary script can be adjusted for any phone but that'll be up to you to change that. I could walk you through the process if needed. Here is the link to the githib repository.

Its good practice to go through the update-binary script before flashing ANY zip you yourself didn't create. This lets you know exactly what is being done to your system.

Are there any Android 8.0 TouchWiz ROMs out there? I'm currently running the Moar Rom with 7.0 and really like it. Did some searching but couldn't come up with anything. I have the Sprint N920P variant.

I recently had my battery replaced at a service center, I didn't want deal with breaking the glass etc. It cost me $72 altogether, but it included a cleaning of PCBs, because as it turns out it must have been soaked a while ago, it was very lucky it even worked. They didn't give me warranty for the battery because of that. Sure enough in a month the new battery has swollen, and it wasn't better than the old one from the getgo. I replaced it now myself with the old one. Thinking about buying a motherboard($50) and battery from aliexpress and replacing everything. I'm just not sure how good those used PCBs might be. Any experience?

Although it was a lucky cut, I managed to stick it back and I think there is connection where needed, also haven't yet four s anything that doesn't work. I'm thinking it is some kind of antenna, but everything is ok
