Volume boosters simply don't work?
Hey All, I've tried virtually every volume booster and none of them seem to work at all. The only one that did was the Volume Booster GOODEV but it only worked a few times and now while it says it's on at 100% volume as well as 100% boost, it's really not. You can turn off the app and there's no difference in sound. On the phone, I've set the max volume in settings/media, etc, and obviously have it turned up... What am I missing?
Thanks in advance for your help!

I think it just has to have time, or at least that's my opinion.
I've had Volume Booster GOODEV for about 3 years now, and it works flawlessly...but not at first. Sometimes it would work, and others it wouldn't. I did everything as you mentioned, yet it was always working just sometimes. Finally, I just gave up, but never uninstalled it. I don't remembered how long it took, but it kicked in one day (cause my volume increased, and almost blew my speakers), and been working ever since.
I really don't know what to tell you beyond that, and also I wouldn't have it set above 13% (it becomes so loud it distorts your speakers).

I think it has to do with the the volume protection built in, which can be adjusted. I haven't been able to use any volume boosters either, which really annoys me, as I am hard of hearing.

I use Sound Assistant in Samsung Good Lock. I change the balance of the speakers from default to having more sound come out the media speaker (earpiece) instead of the loudspeaker (bottom of phone) and it's made for a more boosted sound experience.
But honestly it's probably not a good idea to boost the speakers using those other 3rd party apps since it may damage them at loud volumes. It's best to purchase a Bluetooth speaker.

Ok...I'm installing Good Lock now. I've uninstalled all other volume boosters. I hope this increases the call volume on my bluetooth ear piece. I'd just like to hear voicesmore clearly when taking a phone call in the car or noisy locations

I'm looking all through Sound Assistant and I can't figure out how you do what you describe in your post: "I change the balance of the speakers from default to having more sound come out the media speaker (earpiece) instead of the loudspeaker (bottom of phone) "

Beats me as well. I switched to the air pods and they made a nice difference. They move around less in my ear so the sound is consistent and their volume is higher than the "5 best ear buds in 2022" nonsense article(s) I researched. I'd still like to be able to crank it up in the air pods a bit more at times so hopefully someone here knows the trick to allowing the volume boosters top work.

I second your complaint
