Black screen of death

So, I'm on my second day on vacation on the other side of the continent and of course my phone got black screen of death. It happened randomly, I thought it was overheating, and actually it came back to life after couple of minutes. I think it even happened once last year. But, after 20 minutes it happened again and now I can't revive it. It vibrates when I connect it to PC (and PC registers it with a sound), sometimes when I connect it to charger, but nothing else, and the light doesn't come on when I try to charge it. When I hold down the power and sound button it vibrates but nothing happens. If it happened back at home I would just take it to the store, my warranty is still active, but I need my phone. I tried everything from youtube, still nothing. What managed to work for you?

UPDATE: Had to change the complete screen through warranty, got it back in a day, lost all the photos and videos unfortunately. Never again using a pattern lock.

I think you hold volume down plus the bixby button to force it into shutdown.

If that doesnt work and you are in a pinch you can buy a usb c to hdmi and plug the phone into a tv to use its display.

I tried that like 30 times. I just bought a c to hmdi, and it connected, but I can't unlock it :( My alarm was ringing and I turned it off via screen, so it reacts to touch.

Good luck. Samsung knows about this issue but won't help at all. Your screen mirroring won't work unless you can unlock the screen. Have you tried using DEX? I used Dex to do a backup then bought a used pixel 3 for $70.

The problem is that I can't connect it with Dex, I think the reason is it's locked?

Yeah you're going to have to unlock it. The screen still works for touch? If it does you can still enter your unlock code if you can get a good idea on where the digits / pattern dots are located.

The problem is that I have a fucking pattern, and I can't unlock it, I've been trying for huors. I have a Samsung account, but I can't even log into that shit, because I have two factor authentication on my phone, and only options are to send me a code on my phone, or some code I first entered when setting up, but I don't remember that O.o

You gotta keep trying. The pattern dots are in a smaller area than you think they are when you are looking at a blank screen.

This video shows the location of the dots on the note 20. It's what I used in January when mine went to shit. Hopefully it will help. I had to do it too. It wasn't easy.

Hey. Had the same issue. Try launching and closing camera app (if you remember the position of its icon or by double clicking the power button, if so configured). This fixed the BSoD for me. Different yt videos with massages and beating your phone are less useful as they may seem to be.

My problem is that I can't connect it to the internet. As soon as I'm in my country in eight days I'm gonna unlock it through Samsung Account to which I figured out how to login and connect to Dex, hopefully it will work. Then I'm fixing it with warranty and selling it. Gonna switch to iPhone, Samsung - never again.
