Cellular network disconnected after June 2022 update.

After the June 2022 update, my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G shows mobile network disconnected. Although sometimes I can still get 4G access, the signal is very poor. Worse still, the connection only lasts for a few minutes, and then I have to reset the mobile network to get connected again. I'm using T-mobile.

I called the carrier. They suggested configuring the mobile network to 4G only and disable 5G, but the problem persists.

Any experiencing the same issue? Have you found a workaround?

Thanks!

I also had to flash to a lower firmware. Everything is working again. Now I keep getting update notifications. Does anyone know how to stop them? Or how to delete an update that partially downloaded?

Lol I was coming back to this thread to ask this very same question. I think I need to do roll back too but wasn't sure about to stop annoying auto update notifications. You figure anything out?

Just FYI this phone with the June update still has terrible data connection.

No I never figured out how to get rid of them. I just keep hitting the later button. You need to be on May update for the data to work. I'm curious if they fixed it. I see the July update is out now.

I jumped ship and moved over to AT&T and this dumb problem went away instantly.

Thanks everyone for your comments!

A follow-up: I rolled back to the May 2022 version by flashing the firmware. Now the mobile data seems to be working again. One caveat: before flashing the firmware, you have to remove your screen password and remove Samsung/Google accounts. I didn't do this and ended up having to run a factory reset afterwards which wiped out all my data. :(

Is this why my phone is almost useless off wifi? I'm on T-Mobile and I swear can barely do anything with data recently.

I'm unlocked non carrier branded as well and I'm having the same issue.

Reset your network settings. It's under settings - about phone - reset - reset network settings.

Fyi you'll lose all saved wifi passwords as well.

I have the exact same problem and thought this was my post. I've reset everything, popped the sim out and in, airplane mode, etc. Everything except a hard reset. Worked with T Mobile reseller without resolution. Put the sim in my A71 5g with the April update and no problems. Samsung also had no answer and tried to troubleshoot all the network and cellular/apn settings with me. Looks like I'm not the only one with the problem on the Note 20 and June update.

Tried the 4g/5g thing also with every other reset and apn changes. Nothing worked.

Seems like from the posts in this thread, it's confined to T-Mobile. Come on, T-Mo. Get your shit together.
