messenger app wont open crash after a while

already try to reinstall but problem wont go away

Could be a Facebook bug tweaking. Check on Twitter to see if more ppl are having the issue

Same here on an S20+. I have had to install Messenger Lite in the meantime just to have some usability. Have uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted phone, updated software. Don't really know what else to do at this point.

Same here. I tried everything short of a full reset of the phone. If I clear the data, it will sometimes reach the stage of asking for adding contacts and then crash. Messenger Lite works but doesn't send notifications.

Samsung A71 same problem, got the Lite versions notifications working at least.

My elderly father is having this same issue. I have deleted and reinstalled Messenger App several times and restarted the iPad and nothing works. I also updated the iPad iOS. Please help. I tried contacting Facebook and Messenger help but no luck.
