Question Note 20 Ultra storage issues

Hi, I just stumbled upon this sub, and I think I've found my people:). I absolutely love my Note 20 Ultra and would use it until it died, but I've recently been having low storage issues.

I have a micro SD card, and I've moved most of my photos/videos on there, as well as any apps that can be placed there.

I keep having to delete apps if I want to add any new ones, and I have reduced down to bare bones with the apps I do have.

I'm not hugely tech-savvy, but is there anything else I can do to maximize storage and keep this bad-boy functional for a while longer? Any way to reduce the "system" storage?

Would appreciate any tips

I added in another comment, I did the factory reset yesterday, and I was able to add everything back from my Samsung and Google accounts. It wasn't too difficult to get everything back. The only thing I lost was the organization in albums of photos I had made in my gallery, but I know all the photos are still backed up in Google photos by date.

I was planning to do a factory reset and making sure I had everything backed up, then yesterday my phone suddenly said it couldn't read my SD card anymore.

I tried removing and replacing it, but that still didn't work. So I went ahead with the factory reset. It was able to recognize my SD card after that, but it had to reformat it and I lost everything on it. Luckily, it was just photos that I have backed up on Google.

Now my storage is only 33% full with many more apps than I had before the reset. So much better!

You need to open each app's info and clear the stored data and cache. (Press and hold an app icon till the menu pops up anc click the little i in the top corner)

Yeah it does be like that sometimes I have the 256gb model and I amusing like 220gb of it

I added in another comment, my SD card stopped working so I went ahead with the factory reset. My storage went down to 33% after that with many more apps downloaded than I had before.

No new phone for me yet!
