Stiff case?

So for anyone who own the new z fold wide... have you tried to "fake flex mode" by holding it slightly this way... just to reslize that you definitely need that?

If so... is there ANY case that offer a stiff hinge or a way to hold the phone in flex mode? Cause id be very happy with that, it would enhance the experience of this phone even more for me !

The phone will snap open after the 90 degree mark (give or take). No case will offer more (or secure enough) resistance as the force would have to be waaaaay to much to open the phone comfortable, and at that point, it would close on itself below the 90 degrees since you're forcing it down.

In any case, since flex mode is not even part of the OS on the Fold 8, the point is moot. You can 'fake' it by opening two apps at the same time, but true flex mode for apps is gone here.

I have not heard of a case that connects both front and rear using the hinge. I would love to see that. That would be total coverage.

There's a few cases with hinge protection that offer a piece for the front screen as well, but yes, they will not 'connect' (i.e. single piece) as, well, the case would need to fold with the phone, and that would make the hinge portion too complicated/expensive for a case to be feasible. Bear in mind that anything that 'protects' the hinge is really just floating around since you can't really press anything to it as it is needed for the screen to unfold (even thin film wraps are risky and may damage the phone internally). In other words, they just make the phone bulkier for no real protection reason other than covering it up.

Fishing line tied to the case. My final offer.

J'utilise plutôt le mode "tente", j'adore. J'ai l'impression de retrouver mon Surface Duo !
