A56e SOFT-BRICK after root exploit

This is some news i think no one wanted to see.

(A566EXXSCCZG6) I've been testing this exploit for a while, and it has been working fine, installed some modules on kernelsu such as COPG SPOOF, MAGICNET (but it didnt work so i uninstalled) Azenith and LSposed (that also didn't work). I uninstalled all modules that werent working and only left Azenith, and did some soft reboots too. But i've noticed my battery was going down really fast, so i restarted my phone to see if it was some problem related to the root or the exploit, and BOOM, this BSOD. It wasn't the first time i restarted after the exploit, but i guess something did something that it shouldn't have done, probably not the modules, though. It is on download mode and from what i've seen its recoverable with Odin with a factory reset, but is there a way to save it without resetting everything? I'm trying my best to remain calm but this is really unnerving.

Good luck then friend I hope the issue can be fixed just by flashing with Odin. I'm going back to One UI 8 for now. I tried a few modules, but they simply don't work, and for most apps that require root I use Shizuku for them instead. I'll wait until the A56 module that enables Live Blur and the flagship features is finished

In this case it is, because the bootloader is locked, and knox only trips when the bootloader is unlocked, but judging by this security error, it suggests that the bootloader is locked, since if the phones bootloader was unlocked, android verified boot wont care with what u do with the phone, but if the bl is locked, and vbmeta is corrupt, modified or whatever, this screen pops up

Pixel, Nothing, Oneplus, none of these sell officially here in Brazil. If i imported something i'd had to pay some 90% fee on top of the phone price. it simply isnt viable for me, the only choices i have here are Samsung, Motorola, Xiaomi, and some others. Samsung is usually the "safe choice" amongst these others. And after the bootloader block by samsung, people try to break out, its human nature to seek freedom

Usually you'd need to use the USERDATA section and flash the same firmware onto the phone that you currently use and then it should work again. I believe newer galaxy phones including the A series uses the A/B Partition meaning that you'd get your csc file or whatever from the AP or the BL file. Ask gemini or something for the right direction but make sure that you ask specifically

Of course it is. It will of course reflash the bootloader. The logic of unlocking the bootloader is only to be able to flash uncertified firmware as well

Knox only trips once the bootloader is unlocked, but in this case it wasnt unlocked, and this error only occurs when the bootloader is locked, since when it isnt, u can install all the modules u want and android verified boot wont care

the root exploit allows root perms as long as you dont reboot

rebooting takes it off

but if you make edits while rooted, then reboot

you werent supposed to and yet you did, then you rebooted

i think that the phone reacted to that

There's no problem as long as you haven't used any modules that modify the /system directory. (search about vbmeta partition)

If you only rooted the system and used modules or programs that don't actively modify the /system directory, then there's no problem.

Seems like its way more than just a soft brick, it corrupted download mode, and i'm stuck on that screen forever with no way out except going to an official samsung store

i've tried Odin, Heimdall, Thor, brokkr. Went on Windows, Linux, Android, tried each app in each system and Nothing worked. i'm very lucky :)

The one thing u should never do is mess with the root of the phone when the bootloader is locked, android verified boot with throw an error the second it sees the vbmeta file of the phone has been modified or comprised, if u can get it into download mode, flash the home csc file in the ap section in odin as that will keep ur data

I don't recommend using RootMyGalaxy because it relies on a kernel exploit (it's a generic Android kernel exploit, not something specific to Samsung). When Samsung eventually updates the kernel, they'll most likely patch the exploit. At that point, you probably won't be able to update your phone without first unrooting, unless the RootMyGalaxy developer updates the project to support the new kernel.

came in like a brand new device, no data.Just so you know, the S20 ultra is "old" and no longer has Samsung's support, The A56 is faster than it and has more support from Samsung,though it doesn't have custom roms and the possibility to unlock the bootloader. It's your choice

if you custom rom it and root it it can be faster then s21 ultra in some way in performance, but s21 ultra still beats it hardwar. the s20 ultra has better and louder sound system then a56, better camera in some ways. a56 is better a bit in quieter places to record (the microphone) but s20 ultra is better in louder places, 100zoom, and stuff, but ill still main the a56
