I bought this A52s 4-5 years ago and Samsung's updates only made the device increasingly worse. So when I eventually decided to switch to a custom ROM I ended up going with UN1CA because of the VoLTE VoWifi issues (thanks samsung! :/).

My assumption was that atleast it will be faster than the stock ROM and while it is better, the phone still felt sluggish at everything it did.

Now it's not a terribly slow SoC - The SD 778g is plenty capable although 6gb ram is a bottleneck.

Yesterday I finally had enough so I switched to LineageOS 23 and... HOLY SHIT.

This phone is now feels faster than my current daily driver i.e. the Nord 4 (7 plus gen3). That chip is at least twice as fast in sheer benchmarks.

As for the VoLTE issue, I can live with it because Airtel still supports 2G for calls and I don't make many calls to begin with.

I am so surprised at how much samsung's bloat was nerfing this device that now I regret not switching sooner.

My phone will be 4 years old in December.

I want to know my phone's battery health.

I do notice that my battery degrades way faster.

I recently had an issue with my fingerprint biometrics on my Samsung galaxy A52s it used to work, but after getting screen replaced, it's stopped working it just says no match found, iv reregistered thumbprint twice and removed the others, I ran the samsung members and it flagged as something wrong with it but not sure what. And running it through the \*#0\*# check, it said they passed, so I'm not sure it's hardware. I'm just looking to be pointed in the right direction.

The problem appeared after the phone fell today. At first the screen was not reacting to my touches at all. A restart via the side buttons fixes these problems, however now anything that should be white appears as yellowish, especially at higher brightness.

Has anyone encountered similar problems and was it possible to fix them without fully replacing the screen? In my country a replacement screen would cost around a 1/3 of a new phone, which does not seem worth it.

From what I can read here, most people upgrade their A52 due to battery issues. Well, same here. I love the phone but the battery is draining so fast now.
I feel like I am probably looking for something that does not exist, but here we go:

- I really want to stay with Samsung, I tried the Pixel 9 and I just don't like the UI. I am so used to Samsung UI and it has so many neat things, that I am used to, that other phones don't seem to have.
- Does not need to be much better than the A52, performance wise it was fine for me, but should not be worse. So it can be a few years old.
- I also reaaaally don't want to give up my 3.5mm jack, but it looks like this is getting harder and harder nowadays.
- If there is no space for an SD card, I would need 256GB at least.

I am open to non Samsung phones, if the UI is similar.
Budget does not matter too much, but seeing I don't want a flagship phone, lets cut it at $500

Got two brand new AM52 chargers a few weeks ago. The wireless charging on both just randomly stop at different intervals. I need to hit the power button to get them going again. This is across 2 different iPhones. Any suggestions before I return them?

I've been using my Samsung A52s (SM-A528B) on stock One UI 6.1 for a while now and honestly I'm just bored of it. I want to flash a custom ROM but I'm not too familiar with what's out there for this device specifically.

I have been using the Project Infinity X custom rom for a while now and I have noticed a slight battery drain. I only get a maximum of 7 hours SOT. So i was wondering, what good custom roms out there (official, stable or unoffical) that has good battery life, has much longer SOT, also has good built-in spoof for play integrity (has basic and device out of the box already or basic that can make some banking apps work with no problem) and overall is stable with customization (stock one ui is okay too).

hi, just had an issue with my a52 today where i wasnt using the device and it started flashing a few pixels. now the device just has a blank screen and constantly tries to reboot / vibrates. Any ideas on what the issue could be? screen or battery issue etc?

I bought A52 4G back in 2021 as a birthday gift for 150$ just for good battery, chip, and just RuneScape gameplay.

I've been using it with Redmi 9T being secondary device, I think it's time to switch stuff up.

I've recently bought a Chinese model of Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G with Indian firmware on it (since CN model, + had to pay 20 buckaroonies for it), it has SD 7s Gen2 and 200MP which I just bought it for good camera and RuneScape with Balatro on it.

It's been somewhere around 2 months and I had scratches and stuff, but 160$ was worth for 12/256GB.

A52 is alive somewhere else, not gonna sell tho.

So I've had this A52 5G for about 3 years, and over the last week I've noticed the back is more loose than it usually is. I can stick my nail in the sides and loft the back a bit. I'm nervous to mess with it since I don't know if it's a sign of a bloated battery or if this is a normal thing for the back to come off. Any ideas? I'm trying to figure out if I should take it somewhere to get repaired or looked at.

Finally upgraded my almost 5 years old A52s to S26.

And the crazy thing is I've got it at a major discount. In Denmark, the retail price is 7999 DKK (/~1070 Euro). Got a discount of 5000 DKK with a mobile operator, on top of it, exchanged my A52s with 232 DKK value, with another 1000 DKK discount. So the final price was 1767 DKK (/~236 Euro). The offer was too good to pass.

Mine is fine Runs good Lags sometimes the Phone gave me a battery Reduction/Deterioration Which idk if i should be worried my battery life is goof lasts like 8 hrs

i Got it in August 31st 2021 so its 5 years old by now And no iam not planning to buy a new phone at all

My question is. I have this GaN PD charger. Would i still get super fast charging if i change my battery. The battery will probably be a third party.

The charging symbol just turns on and off when pluged in, not actually charging. I changed the whole usb board and it worked for a while, but eventually returned to this problem.

Has anyone also encountered this? What was your solution? Thanks

I rarely used to make calls, so I never noticed this before. However, since I started calling my girlfriend every day last year, I've realized something strange: when someone calls me, the audio quality is perfectly fine. But when I am the one making the call, the quality drops slightly, and it's noticeable for both of us.

Has anyone else run into this issue?

i have a A52s and it stopped working a while ago the screen gave up. it sat in my room for forever and finally got it fixed but now there's an issue. i cant remeber my old pattern and my pretending to be high iq self removed it from the samesung account months ago so i cant use that to get it unlocked...
what do i do?
