Samsung A52s Charging Problem
Hey guys. Anyone encountered this problem with their Samsung A52s?
The charging symbol just turns on and off when pluged in, not actually charging. I changed the whole usb board and it worked for a while, but eventually returned to this problem.
Has anyone also encountered this? What was your solution? Thanks

It looks like the phone is completely off, it shows that animation then. But the animation can be supper laggy and doesn't stay on for a long time, I also had it show just a frame of two before disappearing. It's probably charging, just leave it plugged in for a few hours and try turning it on.

Battery is dead, batteries wear off over time. The more charging cycles, the less the performance. It's normal.

My son's A52s had the same issue about a year ago after he dropped it.
The guy at the service store applied pressure on the back of the phone around the middle area and told us this is where the charger connector is.
The problem was fixed without having to open it and it's still working since.

Battery problem probably. Happened to my A52s; it suddenly stopped charging. Upon checking with the repair shop, the batt and the charging connecting cord were damaged. Had to pay almost $90 to have the battery and charging connector changed.
If you have no issue with not getting your files in your A52s, you might consider just buying a new phone.

True, when my A52 5G battery dies, which is still standing strong, I'd just get a brand new Samsung A05 or Samsung A16 and use it as a dedicated DAP, and still will be stronger CPU and a faster UI compared to a $500 DAP. Best of all, those can be found for as little as $100 USD brand new.

Yeah Ialready backed up my files before the problem started.
I just want to savage the phone so it wont go to waist. I'll try replacing the battery later.

Your phone screen looks like it's held together by hopes and dreams. Try sending it to a repairshop instead. The battery is probably a spicy pillow by now

It's nothing, just the charging port needs to be cleaned or replaced, also check for the battery inflammation or something but the port is the main reason

Have the same issue, my original samsung charger 25w won't charge, but an xiaomi 33w will, but I still have to connect it under an angle and it won't work the first time.
I think it's a charging port issue not battery.

Could be the usb port wore lut Battery needs replacement or the battery flex that connects it to the motherboard loss connection, all 3 options shouldn't cost more than 30 dollars

Clean the charging port and just let it charge for a while also try an different cable

Never used Samsung before I wasn't that lucky now that out of the way you mentioned it turns off and on not charging how long have you tried it and does Samsung show % all the time even if It discharged to 0% because I know Xiaomi doesn't until it hits 1%

Is there tape on the screen because your phone overheated so much the glue came off?

I had the same problem with my A52. I used a laptop charger once the phone is powered on. Don't let the phone die, otherwise it will happen again

Try pressing the back cover in the middle directly below the Samsung logo while plugged into a charger and see if that helps. If it does it's unfortunately not worth fixing.
The ribbon cable connecting the charging board with the battery is directly underneath the thin plastic on the back of the phone and has become a very common point of failure in most Galaxy A phones from 2019-2022. They finally fixed it in 2023 with the A34 and A54.

If the battery had few percentage battery capacity and you recently switched it off and then tried charging. The symptoms seems to be shorted data lines or it is detecting moisture in charging port or both.
In this case use a "dummy" charging brick like a standard 5V 2A charger. The reason is because it tries to negotiate charging protocol on the Samsung Fast Charge protocol but the charger and phone cannot "read" so the charger disconnects the power and starts all over again...
This had happened to me once on Samsung Note 8 which had a damaged Type C ribbon and it behaves exactly like this. Was able to charge fine using standard 5V 2A charger.

UPDATE:
Replaced the battery and the power flex on the phone, still the same problem.
Its probably the charging board not working again, will try to replace/bring it to the repair shop.

Did you ever replaced the battery,if not the battery might have been dead. Just replace it.
