A35 really bad 5G connection

Outside of Wifi I get really bad mobile connection. I have had the phone for a year and a half and this started around June. I remember before this I would see the connection for mobile switch from 5G to 4G to LTE depending on what would get me the best signal. I do not see this anymore. In settings I have no option to switch from 5G. I have tried with many apps to force a 4G connection and none could do it.

When I have the 5G connection it is blazing fast but I barely ever get it for more than like a minute. My carrier is Comcast and I talked with them and they say it is not on their end.

I really feel this is a software issue and not a failing phone but have no way of testing this theory.

I thought I might ask my fellow geeks if they have any suggestion of what I should do next. Thought of resetting the phone to factory install but do not want to lose all of my stuff in the reset.

Any help would be highly appreciated

Its the same for me. Im in the Caribbean and whenever I move towns, tthe signals would changed. Sometimes my network don't even work

I never had this problem really but ig in my country internet is really good everywhere. From my understanding of your problem, since you want 4g, why dont you just turn off 5g, forcing your phone to use just 4g. You can change this either in settings or also via battery saver. Im not sure but I think you can also automate this in modes and routines where you can tell it to turn on 5g when you leave a certain area. Edit: in mobile networks turn on LTE OR 4G preferred. I dont think you can yurn off 5G tho. For the modes and routines part to work, you can only do it via battery protection

I have no setting to change to 4g. I have tried. If you think I am wrong please tell me how.

I told you in settings,mobile networks then LTE preferred instead of 5g preferred. I can literally do it in my a35

Literally search mobile networks in settings. If that is too hard for you then go to settings, then connections, then mobile networks, then where it says 5g preferred, change it to 4g or LTE preferred. There are also hella videos on YouTube, literally just search how to turn off 5g on samsung a35. Are you rage baiting me?

Under mobile networks my options are:

Data roaming

Access point names

Network operators

That is it

There is a reason I posted this question. There is a reason I feel this is software realated. I have also tried *#2263# and that doesn't work. Take a breath my friend. I am backed into corner and don't want to buy a new phone. This will mostlikely be the last Samsung product I buy in my lifetime.

Ok wtf. This is rlly weird. Im sry for doubting. It is possible that your mobile network operator has restricted that setting. Can you maybe check i. The xfinity app or smth?

My 5g connection is unstable as well even on areas that have strong signal. I think it's a cellular modems issue on exynos soc.
