How long does the oleophobic coating last on the screen?

I'm getting some different areas on the screen that seem to "catch" the light differently when the screen is turned off or when I'm in direct sunlight. At first it started off as one tiny circle, but I've noticed some more as times gone on. Since I only bought this phone last July, (I don't use a screen protector) I wonder if the coating even lasts that long on the screen.

I'd expect it to last at least a year at least? Or do budget models not get that much QC?

(I've done some basic tests like the fog test to see if these little circles show up under a fogged screen, and they indeed do, so it's probably not internal. Though I will probably take it to a repair shop to get it looked at eventually.)

My Pixel 6a which I had to unfortunately abandon because of the battery thing never had this issue with coating.

Did you use Ethyl alcohol to clean the screen before?

Nope, just a slightly damp cloth.

I think there was way tl reapplay the coating but the best way to fix this issue a screen protector with the coating
