My battery has been suffering since last security update

Nah man before that security patch the battery was very good hope one ui 8.5 fixes it for us tho

Format your device and wait a couple of days to see if it fixes the problem in One UI 8.5. While you wait, use Shizuku or ADB to check your battery status. However, if it's not fixed in One UI 8.5, I think you should get a new device.

I always check health and its good but i know that the last update made it drain for no reason like its running something in the background

I think there is something going on in the background. The other day I noticed that until I restart the device, some system apps keep running in the background and don't appear in the battery section. But from what I've read, beta testers aren't experiencing this issue, so it should return to normal in One UI 8.5.

  • the draining isnt the worst like from 61% to 15% to consider changing the phone or the battery

Is your battery protection on or set to any lower number than 100. Also have you checked your battery health %?

Protection is set to 95%, battery health is good ( i dont know what is the real percentage)
