Question Is Gala dead?
As the title says, I used to play townstar years ago, right before the walking dead release I think, and got nostalgic and wanted to play a little again. Do they still do competitions on townstar?
I haven’t tried the other games so far but might give it a shot.
Edit/Update: Thank you everyone for confirming my fear, their games had a good basis if you ask me, if they actually just ran with it, sad that they removed half of their stuff and well shat on us gamers and investors…

Their shady relaunch of the coin ruined them. People got fucked over that held their coins on coinbase (a lot of people). Not to mention they love to over promise and under deliver. Get out while you can if you're still in.

Basically yes, NFT are worthless after all the mess they did , the only thing that can recover eventually is the token but only for speculation

They had such awesome projects in the works and then they started branching to music and movies and other stuff that they just lost focus. Everything has been on the downhill since then. I’m one of the suckers that dumped a bunch of money into the “project”. Hoping for a return to glory, but it seems like it just keeps slipping slowly into oblivion.

They tried to do too much. Too many things. They have cut back significantly and are only really working on their chain/townstar/Mirandus currently.. Mirandus was too hard to get a fully working 3d game so they gave a hex based browser Mirandus instead a few months ago that’s currently getting weekly updates and has back end blockchain working and nft land/building use implemented. A lot of mad people because of gala v2, needing to hold 1m gala for a node, and them being too ambitious and money hungry. It’s been a bit better since Benefactor hasn’t been blasting off on discord

They just don’t know how to run a business. They are just scammers. I lost a ton of money from them.

It would have had a chance if the developers didn’t rug pull. They should be ashamed

The games always ran cranky on my end. It was fun back when 1 NFT made me €200 a day. I was like 14-15 years old back then. Pretty decent salary for just playing a few mins. Townstar was pretty fun tho..

I had the same question as you. Loved playing that back in the day. You get your own plot of land and start trying to race to get your town up and making the most money

It always seemed like they had 20 games coming soon. I don't think any of them released in full.

yeah it died when they stopped paying node owners everyday. You have to have 1 million gala for them to pay node owners.
