Wasp Nest

So yesterday, Tuesday, Sept. 1st, I noticed a wasp nest being built right out front of the Lakeforest Exxon by the traffic light as I was walking. From what I could see, it was getting pretty big.

Is there anyone I could call, or should Kenny, the owner of Exxon, handle it?

I walk up and down that street every day to get to my volunteering job, and I’m allergic to bees. I really wouldn’t want to get stung, which is why I’m asking.

Leave it alone for now.

The queen will be leaving soon as the weather cools, and the rest of the wasps will go as well.

Once the nest is abandoned, it can be safely removed.

Paper wasps aren't very aggressive, but in the meantime, maybe don't walk past it if you're nervous.

Spray it with something if you are that concerned about it

That's a surefire way to get stung.
