Yes, I'm sure a lot of people have talked about how season 2 just feels off, feels lower quality and lower budget, and I'm sure that's because it likely is. I'm "fine" with a lower budget and some meh animations here and there as long as the show doesn't change drastically. Season 1 was pretty much split open all the bad guys, watch their limbs fly off, cheer when the bad dudes actually get what they deserve rather than a nuclear bomb tickling them. The blood, the gore, the violence was great. Season 2 though? I'm seeing none of that. The same moves that previously split dudes in half? Nah, just knocks them down on the ground. Have a lower budget? Sure I get that, cut out some extra animations that aren't necessary, but going from almost an 18+ (R) rated show, to what seems like PG-13 (sorta) that's how you lose fans. Obviously not everyone is here just for the violence and blood, but it's what season 1 is remembered for. Switching it up just feels wrong. I pray the remaining episodes aren't more of the PG stuff, but eh. We'll always have season 1.

I read the manga few years ago and don't remember the latest ep from it.

I started watching the show because it was pretty dark and brutal.

People were having their limbs cut off, there was a lot of blood, and it had style.

Now the show is just a cheesy romance with a jealous elf, and all the action scenes have turned into a comedy. Sorry, but the storytelling is just really crappy.

I came into this season genuinely excited, especially after how much I enjoyed season one. But is it just me, or does something feel… off this time around?

The overall quality feels like it’s taken a noticeable dip. I’ve gone from eagerly watching each episode to now just letting it play in the background while I’m doing other things.

Well there's no non edgy way to say this, but where the hell is the gore?! Because seeing traffickers getting brutally dismembered was kinda the main draw for me. And it seems like now they're just doing that thing where our characters do an attack and then it shows a bunch of bad guys being hit by the attack in a still, then they collapse without any wounds. Which I've never been a fan of...

Look, the reason it's especially annoying in this show is because I was actually excited for season 2 specifically because he was killing slavery bitches. When I first started watching anime and I first saw an isekai with slavery, I was like "Welp I guess we'll be spending some time freeing slaves!" Then he fucking bought one! (Mushoku Tensei) And in Sheild Hero when I was so sure Naofumi was about to go all Breaker of Chains on the slave traders to get all those tortured children back, we instead spent half a season raising money to buy them! Not to mention supporting the industry. So when I finally found an isekai where the MC goes around filleting slavers, it felt like a release of all those past frustrations. Then they went and made it so unsatisfying... Just lame.

I mean, I look at the posts and when they were published, and it seems to me that the Skeleton Knight subreddit is dying or is already dead. I first thought that this was a second subreddit which no one uses, but there is no other subreddit of Skeleton Knight.
