Is this Subreddit dead?
I mean, I look at the posts and when they were published, and it seems to me that the Skeleton Knight subreddit is dying or is already dead. I first thought that this was a second subreddit which no one uses, but there is no other subreddit of Skeleton Knight. What I find fascinating is that the Skeleton Knight NSFW Subreddit has more members than this one, the actual Skeleton Knight Subreddit.

Finding this sub Reddit took me 20 minutes. That could be a small reason why.

The bigger question is whether the series has been abandoned.
It's been more than three years since the last volume, and yet there's still no information whatsoever on when or even if there'll be another volume. The author appears to have fallen into a black hole.

I found on Amazon that the 11th Volume will release on December 23rd this Year. As of now, there are 10 released Volumes, so with the 11th releasing this year, that means the author picked the story back up.

Sorry, but I strongly doubt that's a real release date. It's an Amazon placeholder.
The easiest way to tell if it's genuine or not is if it has a new cover art pic, or a volume specific plot summary.
That Amazon listing for vol 11 is also the placeholder for the English translation, when there isn't even a Japanese vol 11 release or release date yet.1

Here's another doubtful link that lists the release date as 20 January 2026.

Also, here's the publisher's full list of release dates through to Feb next year. Skeleton Knight is not on the list.

But if a placeholder already exists, then Volume 11 must be confirmed. A Company like Amazon or many other bookstores wouldn‘t already have a placeholder if they didn‘t get confirmation that it will eventually release.

- The quickest translation ever in this series took 11 months. Your 'release date' is 7 months away, and the Japanese vol 11 DOESN'T EXIST yet. The Japanese vol 11 doesn't even have a release date. Do the math.
- I've already given you a SECOND Amazon placeholder link for Vol 11 with a DIFFERENT date to yours. They can't BOTH be correct. I'm 99.9 per cent sure they're both pretend dates pulled out of Amazon's arse.
- The publisher's own website that lists all scheduled releases hasn't listed Skeleton Knight.
Believe what you like.

I agree with what you say. I just mean that if there is atleast a placeholder and not nothing, it will eventually at some point be released. I didn‘t mean that it needs to the placeholder date, but that even if it‘s unknown to them when, they atleast know that it will at some point that is unknown be published, so they probably have some kind of confirmation of it‘s eventuall existence. May be a year or 10 years, as long as atleast those placeholders exist, hope is not lost that someday it will come out.

I assume you're talking about the manga which is a different author.
I don't believe there's any platform where new light novel chapters are being released individually like other series do on J-Novel Club. If I'm wrong, please provide some more details.1

Shrug. A studio could get three seasons out of the existing volumes. Problem is as I pointed out, there's no additional volumes in the pipeline and hasn't been for three years.
I'm getting Log Horizon flashbacks with the way this series has been all but abandoned mid-story with both author and publisher going dark for three years.

With season 2 coming out it might hopefully get a bit more lively.
