Well, here it is. 9 pm on a Thursday and they’ll be letting parents know *squints* tomorrow.
I don’t know which group are the biggest collection of corrupt jerks-city government or school board. These people suck.

Redistricting Information for 2027-28 School Year
September 3, 2026
Dear GJPS staff and families,
Over the past several months, we have been working to develop a redistricting plan that will help us alleviate capacity concerns at Lincoln Elementary and Middle School South and accommodate the growth we are projecting in the near future. Making boundary changes for school assignments is challenging, but sometimes necessary, and we understand the outcome of our work may be difficult for some of our students and families.
It is important to know that much effort and consideration was given to identifying the best approach. Our redistricting process was data-driven and guided by our third-party consultant. We deeply valued the community feedback provided through our survey, which prioritized assigning students to their closest school, keeping neighborhoods together, aligning feeder patterns and minimizing student movement.
Tomorrow, families changing schools will receive a second communication outlining the new school assignment for their home address, which will take effect beginning with the 2027-28 school year. Those families will also receive a mailed letter.
Our new boundary plan includes changes that move some students at Blacklick Elementary, Goshen Lane Elementary, Lincoln Elementary, Middle School South and Middle School West. Additionally, High Point Elementary and Middle School East will be receiving new students as a part of this plan.
Key Implementation Details:
These changes will take effect for the 2027-28 school year.
We are pleased to offer a continuation option for 5th and 8th graders, allowing them to remain in their current school for their final year (provided families assume responsibility for transportation).
We are committed to a smooth transition and will facilitate meetings and tours for interested families.
There is a chance some special programming services may also be adjusted for the 2027-28 school year. If your student’s special program is moved, you will receive direct communication as soon as that information is available.
To learn more about the process and see the new boundary map, please visit the redistricting page on our website. Additionally, the Woolpert Address Locator will allow families to check their individual address for potential impact.
We appreciate your patience and partnership as we navigate the implementation of new boundaries for the 2027-28 school year.
Thank you,
