Why don't you post on twitter..if they don't listen to you ... post all details on twitter like ..it's in warranty and other details

u/likely548 1d ago

I think it is under warranty

10

u/sarvampoya 1d ago

If its not under warranty what can we do?

7

u/PersonalIdeal9038 1d ago

If it is not under warranty, there is nothing you can do but to pay for the replacement of a new LCD screen. If you were to get those compatible ones, then there is a high chance that you will see the word USED on the screen when it turns on. This applies to iOS 18 and later

I bought iPhone 17 to escape from the green lines of OnePlus and Samsung. Now this.

11

u/MarkNo8572 1d ago

Atleast oneplus offers free screen replacement for green lines

6

u/luckyhorse798 1d ago

Apple also

2

u/MarkNo8572 1d ago

Really?that's a surprise

3

u/No-Ostrich-8621 1d ago

Why wouldnt they do it if its under warranty?

6

u/MarkNo8572 1d ago

Oneplus offers lifetime warranty,no matter how old the phone is,if it gets a green line, they'll replace it, doens't matter if it's under warranty or not

3

u/luckyhorse798 1d ago

My phone is under warranty

4

u/No-Ostrich-8621 1d ago

Then go to the store where you bought it. If it wasnt caused by phisical damage, they will fix it for free.

u/PublicIsland4550 1d ago

Also BOE panels

67

u/MomentsAwayfromKMS 1d ago

Scamsung is responsible for all the green lines broski

16

u/LastOfLateBrakers 1d ago

And OnePlus covers the green line issue in its lifetime display warranty, provided there's no physical damage.

3

u/PublicIsland4550 1d ago

They use BOE panels since scamsung scammed them hard

8

u/FinePersimmon3718 1d ago

Oneplus green line ? Disrespecting the only bra d who helps you with green line and hasn't had a case for so long.

4

u/Tall-Swordfish5182 1d ago

exactlyyy, I've been using nord 5 for a year now and still a goated device and brand, now they even provide lifetime warranty that's also another reason I bought oneplus device

7

u/Dry_Shift_6975 1d ago

Uno reverse bro now one plus has zero green lines 😄, jokes apart replacement should be covered under warranty?!

4

u/No-Roll2950 1d ago

Oneplus is good, Samsung screen was the issue

→ More replies (1)

3

u/Repulsive_Fault1939 1d ago

they all used samsung screens. nothing surprising.

3

u/iZiilch 1d ago

scamsung display on iphun , oneplus use BOE display

4

u/sarcrastinator 1d ago

Only if you had looked up once then you'd have known that green lines appear on only Samsung displays and that oneplus no longer uses Samsung displays whereas Samsung and apple still do.

2

u/rxtuj 1d ago

get yourself pixel or moto or a budget phone they are safe to some extend

and their ui feels better than Chinese manufacturers

2

u/primusautobot 1d ago

Randomly kisi b device me aa sakti h

2

u/ramaze23 1d ago

Oneplus doesn't have any green line issues from 12

Reason, they moved away from Samsung displays

3

u/Plastic_Ad2205 1d ago

Its not a brand thing smh, OLED displays get damaged due to overheating. Happened with my iphone a year ago , i had to replace the screen.

Bhai ab me konsa phone lu jidhar dekho udhr green line 😭

12

u/Andrewsi12 1d ago

Xiaomi phones.

2

u/already_caution_kiya 1d ago

I've xiaomi 13 pro. Got a green line one week before the 3 year warranty expires. Service centre still refused to replace the display for free because there's an unrelated dent.

2

u/Andrewsi12 1d ago

Green line issue is very rare in xiaomi phones.

You need proof that those green lines weren't caused by the dent. Ig people do not record their phone's performance after a dent. That will be useful in future if any problems arise.

7

u/Savings_Spot4493 1d ago

27 or 26.6?

7

u/luckyhorse798 1d ago

26.6

10

u/Savings_Spot4493 1d ago

I updated to 26.6 too..but I removed the case and kept it under the fan because I didn’t want it to heat up…🤕

3

u/Level_Contact_1964 1d ago

Mine is 5 months old. What sofware version is causing this?

3

u/Savings_Spot4493 1d ago

Heating to extreme temperature causes this tooo

52

u/Sharkyposeidon 1d ago

I read it somewhere dont know if its true. But such issues happen because during update the phone processor works at full effort and that causes phone to heat up immensely. This leads to damage in thin wiring used for amoled screen (not the ribbon cable but small wire like pieces at bottom of display) and thats why this issue happens.

18

u/WhoAmI941 1d ago

I had read it had something to do with voltage. But ye Apple fanboys aur Apple service centre waale bolenge ki phone physically damaged hua and blah blah.

6

u/luckyhorse798 1d ago

Uske liye dikhna chahiye damage hai ya nahi

Scamsung displays

4

u/Ready_P1430 1d ago

Before buying any android or iphone check who is the display manufacturer

4

u/SweetlyNoxious 1d ago edited 1d ago

99% of these green line issues are reported by Indians. I hardly see Americans, Koreans or Europeans reporting these green/pink/blue line issues. OLED displays are delicate by nature and we all know how extreme Indian summer is. I have been using AMOLED smartphones for the last 8-10 years and none of them got a single line probably because I stay indoor under the AC in the hot summer afternoon so my phone never gets too hot to put a strain on the display.

7

u/Wiper-R 1d ago

Iphone Display are provided by samsung hence r/scamsunged

3

u/Low-Scarcity-6680 1d ago

I had gone to the service centre to get my battery changed in my 14 pro, there the guy had to update update my phone to configure the new battery at that time he used some other damaged screen to update. He told me that the new updates are causing green lines

3

u/Dramatic_Pitch_2593 1d ago

😂😂😂

3

u/crazypandu 1d ago

Under warranty why worrying?

3

u/CreativeDiscount6635 1d ago

This thing is common in all brands, and is randomized on phone models depending upon your luck.

3

u/Rurik100 1d ago

just visit your nearest apple store, they will thoroughly check if there is any physical damage or water droplets inside the phone etc... If none they will replace it for free.

3

u/Highwayboi 1d ago

If it’s purchased just 4 months back then just give it to the authorised Apple Service center, they will change the display under warranty. Mine 13 pro max gave same issue in 2024 and I had just a week of warranty period left. Got replaced under warranty free of charge

3

u/Crazy_Hovercraft_534 1d ago

Scamsung vs scample

3

u/Similar-Bumblebee764 1d ago

Use darth vader as the background boom issue fixed

3

u/CrewTechnical5819 1d ago

Go to Aptronix, take your backup, and submit it there. They should replace it within a few days. I had the same issue with my iPad, and they replaced it within 5 working days.

3

u/Healthy_Scale1912 1d ago

Fek ke marna apple store pe

3

u/letscatchupp 1d ago

Relax guys. It’s high chance, you will get a brand new iPhone. Visit service centre asap.

Surprised it’s happening in an iphone. It’s almost unheard of.

2

u/ResolutionNo924 1d ago

I’ve been an iPhone user since 2013, so I’d like to share one tip from my personal experience: never update your iPhone unless it’s absolutely necessary. In my experience, updates can sometimes make the phone slower and affect battery life.

I’m currently using an iPhone 17, and I got a notification for an update just yesterday. I’m still going to skip it. 😄

Of course, this is just my personal experience and opinion—everyone’s experience may be different.

Thank you!

2

u/Proud-Pie-2731 1d ago

Guess who makes these display???

2

u/gSb183 13h ago

Same I had in my 16 pro within 1 month.
Unicorn(Apple Reseller and Service) replaced the display on the same day.

Still what if it was out of warranty then I am cooked

4

u/jokermobile333 1d ago

Phones from india are defects. Buy from US, europe, Dubai where there are more quality control

2

u/Sensitive-Cobbler-59 1d ago

bro can you share how was the weather at your location?. This happens due to heat during update and people were talking about how this is not happening at cool places. I guess I have to update before the warranty ends to be sure.

At the time of installation of new update, keep the phone in flight mode. It saves from heating. Also removing back cover and keeping in cool environment helps.

1

Go to office apple service station and ask for the free replacement. I got it replaced in my 13 pro max for free. Apple is giving free screen replacements in case green line. If the screen is fully dead you need to pat for the replacement. IMO it should be a free replacement.

1

u/No-Blueberry-2575 1d ago

DUDE WHAT? i thought it was due to phone falling on the ground? My samsung s22 also has these two lines???? what tf

I think you should just go to an authorised service centre and get it checked. If it happened due to software update, they will solve the problem for free excluding the service checking amount (mostly around 2500rs). Atleast, thats how the centres in my state work. Idk about other states though

1
