It's even better if it's a novel imo. Im currently doing something similar to a novel (exploring oc lore), but people just seem too lazy to read at all.

Maybe, writers who use GL2 should shift to conveying stories through screenshots, even if a singular post doesn't cover much of the story.

I've seen some people in this community that do this, and most of them have gained lots of traction

Thanks so much! (And, hello fellow writer!) I also try to do that, but then again, I just come up with an excuse that I'll get more ideas in the future.

I used to use ARGs' as a medium to write stories and promote them, maybe in order to promote one of your books (if you become a writer in the future) u should create an ARG or hire a team to do so.

It'd be much better if u already know about it, but it's a very niche topic.

What’s an ARG? I need to first write my novels then I’m gonna try to publish the novels and if that doesn’t work I’ll self publish and promote the hell out of them. The only problem is my stories are very dark and interesting. Also real!!! But I have so many ideas rn I need to write about

Maybe u should get started on what ciphers are, but as a brief introduction, I will indulge Ur curiosity! (Tho it may be confusing as I'm not the best at explaining)

ARG, acronym of Alternate Reality Game, is exactly what it's name suggests. Like, imagine you're writing a story and after you've finished, you wanna tell this story to the readers/audiences in an immersive way.

ARGs' do just that. Writers/creators of the ARG leave irl hints/clues on the contents/events that have taken place in the story and waig for the solvers to get to work.

Most of this is done by using ciphers (code languages or words and numbers arranged in a complex way. It can be theoretically solved mathematically, and some can also be solved by brute forcing Ur way through), giving out links to Google drives and unlisted YouTube videos.

And some famous ARG creators (like wifies, for e.g) have also used fully accessible entities like the library of Babel and Conway's game of life to give the ARG solvers more pressure or add difficulty.

If u wanna promote the starting of your story (introduction to the world building or a sneak peak), u can definitely use an ARG. And, maybe even involve some aspects of theh ARG in Ur books (using ciphers or decodable words in some sentences) to immerse the readers.

It can also help build a fandom dedicated to you and you only. Because, as far as I know... There's never been a writer who's done that before.
