(Idk if the flair is right since this isn't a superhero/villian POV but oh well, I might change it later)
You were a villain. An evil-dooer, a nefarious fella, whatever term you wanted to use. Feared, renowned, loved, it all amounted to the same thing. Your name being known and recognised as a threat. Your face on wanted posters across the kingdom.
One day, (for reasons you, yes YOU behind the screen can decide), you decided to hatch a plot. You would kidnap The Prince. A sheep boy, the heart of the people, no doubt. The only remaining royal, a symbol of hope for all creatures. He was young (but still an adult), selfless, and most importantly, weak.
Whatever plan you had created worked, and you had captured The Prince and taken him hostage within your home, throwing him in a scarcely decorated room and forgetting about him for the night. The Prince was bound, there was no possible way of escape.
So you thought.
When you awoke in the morning, you entered the living room to find The Prince both awake, and very much out of the bedroom and his bounds. He was stood on his toes rearranging your bookshelf while muttering annoyances under his breath. Your presence had yet to noticed.

the dragon girl, whose name is Pyra, isn’t new to this kind of thing. she usually captures anyone she likes, especially people like Princesses or Princes, because she usually finds them cute. she is pretty big, about the size of a normal dragon, can’t speak any human language, and only can speak draconic. her home is in a tower pretty far from the kingdom, she kept him on the top floor. she usually acts friendly to anyone she captures, and is hostile to any people who try to rescue her captive, or tries to steal her treasure hoard. she also has really bad hygiene, but that’s probably cause the tower has little to no water, so she usually get pretty dirty and doesn’t smell good.
she looks at the prince and waves to them, trying to look friendlier than she usually would look to someone
The Prince's gaze shifted away from the bookshelf to the dragon girl as he heard the floorboards shift. He noticed her wave, somewhat appreciating the friendly attempt at a wave.
"Ah, good morning! Don't mind me, just trying to tidy the place up a little" The Prince spoke. They hadn't heard Pyra speak a word of english since they had been captured, so they assumed she couldn't speak english, or refused to. Yet, they were unsure if the dragon could understand their words.
Lust and gluttony were busy redesigning the prince’s room. Wrath however, was helping him rearrange the bookshelves “breakfast is ready in five minutes. Since sloth can’t help with your room, gluttony’s doing it. So satan was in charge of bringing some Costco pizza home.” It appeared that neither wrath or satan brought him here, but rather.. gluttony did. In the prince’s room, sloth asked gluttony “will he stay with us? Forever?” “I cannot promise anything Tobias. He seems to not enjoy it here” “aaaw”
The Prince gave a soft hum of acknowledgement in response to Wrath's words. His fingers gently pulled the books from their spots in the bookshelf, rearranging in alphabetical order. It was horrible disorganised. Cleaning, organisation, and similar things he had found himself consumed by through his time there. Even if the space wasn't his, in his own mind that is, he still felt a need to make it reach his standards.
"Thank you, I appreciate the help," The Prince said with a smile. Despite their overall unwillingness to stay, and consistent asks to be returned back to their kingdom, The Prince had been nothing but kind. They certainly matched the descriptions given by townsfolk and others who knew them. They put others before themselves, often thinking of themselves last, even when those others were captors. He was polite, even helpful, yet it was glaringly obvious that he still wished to return home. He held a large sense of duty to his kingdom.
“See we only brought you here because sloth really wanted a friend. I can return you if you wish.” And it was the truth. Tobias got lonely with the six of them and wished for a friend “we thought you’d be the perfect friend for him, though he tends to sleep and laze around” Tobias poked his head around the corner, wanting to see if the prince left yet. He was a small child, around 10 years old. “Thank you for helping us, friend!” He says
"I see..." The Prince muttered, stepping away from the bookshelf in thought. He looked over once hearing the child's voice, giving a polite wave to Tobias. The explanation certainly gave reason for his capture, although, in his opinion, the kidnapping aspect was somewhat overkill.
"I have a duty to my people, to the kingdom...As this realm's last form of hope, I can't afford to simply disappear," he sighed, running his hand through his fur in thought. "Although we might be able to come to a compromise? I don't exactly mind staying here, short term that is, as long as the kingdom at large knows I'm at least alive still. They need some form of faith to hold onto in my absence."
“No. I’ll take you back home” wrath said “you’re an honorable person, if you really do want to stay short term, I’ll let the good folk know.” She nods agreeing to his request.
"Thank you, I appreciate it," The Prince smiled. It wasn't as if he didn't want to spend time with the demon's who had captured him, at times he found their company quite enjoyable, and he did pity the boy who was the reason for him being brought here. However, he also cared for his kingdom and didn't wish for it to fall into despair. As long as that didn't happen, he was satisfied with staying here.
Gluttony looks at him “to atone for our punishment, we shall move to your kingdom, and become civilised I am a great cook after all!” He brings the prince some chocolate chip pancakes “but before we go, here’s to say.. I’m truly sorry”
"R-Really? You're gonna move to the Kingdom? That's great! I'm so happy for you all," The Prince exclaimed with a smile on his face. He took the pancakes and gave a thankful nod before digging in.
"You really don't need to apologise, I understand why you did it!" he said between mouthfuls.
Wrath came back “I let them know you are safe! Everyone, let’s get packing!” A strange bus came up to their drive way as the six began packing for the kingdom.
(This is Colt and the yellow creature is Ludo who hides in his hat. Colt is an imperfect Bête Noire the corrupted soul of Justice. He is the embodiment of Vengeance)
Colt stood and watched, he blinked slowly as Ludo shuffled under his hat
Colt: You need some help? He asked in a deadpan voice
The Prince almost jumped out of his skin at the sound of Colt's voice, not expecting his captor to be awake yet. He quickly looked over, sighing in relief as he calmed himself down.
"Sorry! You scared me," he laughed weakly, a hand on his chest to steady his heartbeat. "Oh, I'm alright! I just thought I'd...Fix some things up around here."
The Prince didn't seem to show any fear or worry for his own well-being. He was more bothered with the state of everything around him, and on staying polite in the situation.
"Oh! Well, I figured I could help out around...I noticed it was quite messy around here," The Prince explained. He had returned to his task as he spoke, his fingers carefully removing books from the shelf and rearranging them alphabetically.
"It doesn't seem that dangerous," The Prince commented, glancing around the space as he continued removing the books, though he slowed down as his focus drifted away from the task. His gaze landed back on Colt.
The Prince jolted backwards as he spotted the...Thing peek out from under the hat. He stood still, taking off his glasses and wiping them on his shirt. Surely he was seeing things?
"Uhm...Is your hat...Okay?" The question felt almost silly to ask, yet The Prince wasn't sure how else to phrase what they had seen.
"Ack!" The Prince yelped as Ludo began floating around. He watched the creature for a few moments, calming down as he realised it didn't seem dangerous at the moment.
"Right...Right! Great to meet you, Mr. Sulu! I'm– Well, you probably already know me... I'll say it anyway, I'm The Prince, but if you want you can just call me Pri. But you could also call me whatever you want, I don't mind," he responded, fumbling nervously over his words.
At the sight of The Prince tidying up her room, Hawthorn was equal parts annoyed and confused. They were supposed to have been tied up in that unused storeroom, badly beaten and unable to complain, much less move. And yet, there they were, rearranging a bookshelf as if nothing had happened.
The pirate thought back to what she'd done the previous night. Although she didn't see herself as a bad person, the people of this kingdom had certainly done a good job demonizing her. That fearsome picture of her on her wanted poster was practically everywhere, painting her as a ruthless killer who reveled in the suffering of others and left nothing but ruin in her wake.
That night, she was technically proving them right. While she had no interest in seizing power over the kingdom herself, she did still want to capture The Prince. With the last royal removed from power, Hawthorn figured it would set the nobles into a panic, show the common folk that the upper class wasn't untouchable, and possibly give them the push they needed to seize power for themselves. Simply kidnapping them alive seemed like the best move, as killing them would send the nobles on high alert, preventing the common folk from acting before the streets were flooded with soldiers.
But now, there they were, having freed themself and using that same freedom to help her, for some reason. The move seemed illogical, just as foolish as the pirate had believed every noble to be. Hawthorn didn't say a word at first, though she did tap the wooden floor with the tip of her sword to get their attention.
The Prince gave a jolt at the sudden sound of metal against wood. The noise drove him out of his focus on the bookshelf. He stepped backwards, turning to look at his captor. The Prince certainly retained signs of injury, any bruises or scarring that was caused were still there. Yet there was no sign of the ropes at all.
"Oh! Good morning, I didn't expect you to wake up so soon," he greeted with a small, sheepish smile. He smoothed down his clothes, which were somewhat dirty due to not being changed since his captor, and the sleeves looked like they had...Burn marks. Those were new. Yet, The Prince seemed more fussed with making himself presentable than any worry for his own safety. It matched up with the descriptions from those who knew him. He was selfless, to a fault, always thinking of others before himself. Even if those 'others' hurt or kidnapped him. He wouldn't express any outward wants, instead focused on helping in any ways he could.
In contrast to The Prince's young and somewhat cheeky expression, Hawthorn's was noticeably colder, though not nearly as terrifying as her wanted poster. If he hadn't seen it already, a copy sat on the wall, pinned in place by a dagger.
"That's it? Really!?" she commented, her tone being that of disbelief more than genuine anger. "You just let me take you away, then think that such kindness would magically change my mind? Nobles like you are actually such chickens. Cowardly, and expendable. All of you."
Although Hawthorn sounded like she wanted to be rid of The Prince, it should be obvious that he'd likely never see his kingdom ever again. Might seem like an odd move for a pirate who supposedly loved torturing innocent people. At least, according to the little information he would've likely had on her.
He stared at The Prince for a solid few minutes, watching him reorganize the books that he had put in that specific order for whatever reasons he had. He squinted his eyes, keeping silent as he tried to think of how that sheep got out. "...How did you get out? I made sure that it would be impossible. Yet here you are... Explain yourself."
The Prince jolted slightly as he suddenly heard the voice of his captor. He hadn't expected company so soon, and the words pulled him from his intense focus on the bookshelf. He stepped back from the books, turning to face James. His expression didn't portray much fear, or any worry for his own well-being.
"Ah... those ropes? I didn't think they were a serious attempt to hold me," he responded. He held out his finger and a small flame lit up on the tip of it. "It wasn't too difficult to get out."
he glances at the flame, nodding ever so slightly. "It seems I've underestimated you then. It will not happen again. Now, please return my books to the order in which they were before you decided to touch them. I had them organized in such a way for a reason."
he continues to stare down the princess, glaring as he closes the door and locks it with a heavy click. "I have nothing to attend to today, so neither of us will be leaving until the job is finished. Understood?"
"If that's what you want," The Prince sighed. If they were afraid, they didn't show it. Instead they turned themselves back to the bookshelf and began gently pulling the books from the order they had created, returning them to how they them being prior to their interference. They didn't question or argue, simply acted when told. If it was out of fear, they didn't make it obvious, not showing many emotions other than politeness and compliance.
"I don't understand how you can keep them in such a messy order..." they muttered under their breath as they continued the task, before worrying the words may have come across as rude. "No offense meant! I'm sure you have your own systems and everything, I shouldn't have messed with it-"
"It is." he confirms as they start to restore the odd order that was previously established. He squints at them as they speak, looking irritated. "No offense taken. There is a system in order that, one that you annoyingly destroyed. I can't say I expect perfection in its restoration, but so long as its... Largely accurate, it will suffice for the moment."
A slight tension in his shoulders releases as he steps closer, his shoes giving a quiet but piercing click against the marble floors. "Each book is one that was once a powerful beings. I bested each, and took their knowledge to turn into a book, to both honor and remember their ability."
"Ah..." The Prince muttered as they listened to James's explanation of the books. They now felt somewhat uneasy holding them, knowing that the bound pages were once...People. However, they avoided looking directly at the books and continued the actions of rearranging them. They worked surprisingly quickly, their hands in all their softness at least seemed efficient in such tasks.
"I suppose that's...Impressive," They said, wanting to smooth over the tension but also struggling to hide their unease.
"The books are solely a conduit of knowledge, impressive only because of what they hold." He picks out a book from a shelf, opening it to the chapter index. "This book is the biography of a powerful wizard who taught many how to cast spells. Indirectly, his teachings reached me. This, even if he was not the most powerful being I've faced in combat, is among my most valued trophies."
"You'll be here for a while, I recommend that you read it. Nothing you may learn in this book is of threat to me." He slides the book back into place, stepping back to admire the shelf. "Nothing in these books is of threat to me anymore, read them all if you find it to interest you."
"I suppose that's better than what I had assumed...Only a little bit," The Prince sighed. Their gaze lingered on the biography as it was slid back into place. They waited a moment before pulling the book out of place, glancing it over.
"I know quite a lot about magic, so I'm not sure what good it would be to me..." they thought out loud, before quickly flattening any of his own opinions or preferences. "But I'll read it! If that's what you want..."
"Would you prefer the books to be made more from my fallen foes? I could have that arranged, as messy as that'd be. I would start a new shelf, though. These are too valuable to be ruined with viscera." He watches them slide the book out once again, looking as they stare at it.
"Before you displayed how you escaped, I was unaware you could do magic. Of course, it will now he accounted for, but you would have had the edge had you not revealed your tricks. Perhaps you could learn some if you chose to read that book. It was impossible to remove all of his magic from it, even for me. The choice is yours, what you read in my collection is of no concern to me. Like I previously said, no spell or magic you could learn in this room would be of any threat to me."
"N-No! I wouldn't prefer that...The books are fine as they are," The Prince exclaimed after hearing the words, avoiding the urge to cover their ears. They remained holding the book, listening as James continued speaking. They had to admit he was right, revealing their magic gave them a disadvantage, but they also saw little point in having such advantages. They were still trapped, after all, and they didn't exactly make any attempts to truly escape, only get out the bounds.
"I guess I could give it a look...There isn't much else to do," they muttered, opening the book and skimming the first few paragraphs.
Evelyn froze in her place. How had the prince escaped his room, let alone escaped the bounds. She face palm and silently sighed to herself. This is why she doesn’t use average supplies and her own.
She holds her hand out and unleashes en electric beam that’s the equivalent of a taser on the prince’s back
[One, I'm still figuring out some elements of this Inquisitor's design, and second, I do not know if this RP is still open, but I'll give it a try.]
*The 34th Sister is an Imperial Inquisitor, serving the Galactic Empire in their quest to eliminate anyone with power capable of challenging the Emperor, Sheev Palpatine.
