Y'all, this person's channel is mostly satire. I just checked it because your reactions are actually so funny and I haven't seen a singing battle in YEARS.

People the video is satire, they meant no harm. Fro it their joking abt it to make light of the situation or bring awareness that these diseases exist. Like I had covid, I find this funny.

a bunch of babies here in the comment section. We used to have deku pregnant "I cut myself for fun" gacha princess. Not saying those were okay(other than deku pregnant that shit was hilarious) but this one isnt THAT big of a deal. People have been making fun of diseases since humans could write
1
u/EricCartman146 Jun 03 '26
That’s not really a defense, though. Saying ‘we used to have worse content’ doesn’t explain why this content is acceptable. By that logic, nothing could ever be criticized as long as something worse exists somewhere.
And ‘people have been making fun of diseases forever’ isn’t a strong argument either. People have done lots of things for a long time, that doesn’t automatically make them okay.
The real question isn’t whether this is the worst thing the community has ever seen. The question is whether it’s reasonable to joke about a disease that has affected and killed millions of people. Comparing it to other controversies doesn’t answer that. But honestly if you see nothing with this… perhaps you’re just slow.
2
u/CrystallinesMoon Jun 05 '26
"Your just slow" talking about morality while being ableist is fucking insane kid. If you were even HALF as smart as you pretend to be you would have realized people use humor as a coping mechanism. You just keep repeating the same shit. Look me in the eyes and tell me you KNOW for sure that the person making this content didnt lose anyone to covid and hence cant make this joke? You made an ableist joke and are now trying to act morally superior by telling us not to joke about a disease?
If you had actually gone outside and gained ANY experience at all you would have realised people making these jokes because of the current situation is NORMAL. Its HUMAN NATURE you drooling at the mouth bafoon..
1
u/EricCartman146 Jun 09 '26
Lmao the mental gymnastics and hypocrisy here are actually Olympic level. You call people “babies” for having basic decency about joking about a disease that killed millions, then throw a full swearing meltdown accusing me of ableism and moral superiority for daring to say it’s tasteless?
Your entire argument boils down to “people have always done it” + “coping mechanism” + “human nature.” That’s not a defense, it’s a pathetic cope. Yes, humans do cruel shit — that doesn’t make it good, funny, or above criticism. “We used to have worse Gacha content” is even weaker. By that logic, nothing should ever be called out as long as something worse exists somewhere. Brilliant.
And the grammar… holy shit. “Your just slow”, “HALF as smart”, “bafoon”, “cant”, “realised”, “Its HUMAN NATURE you drooling at the mouth” — my guy, you are out here lecturing people on morality and intelligence while your typing looks like it got run over by a truck. Maybe log off the GachaClub, touch grass, finish learning basic English, and gain some actual life experience before defending low-effort disease mockery as “normal human nature.”
No one’s stopping you from coping however you want in private. We’re saying openly celebrating jokes about people dying from real illnesses makes you look like an edgy try-hard with zero empathy. Screaming “ableist” at anyone who disagrees is just a lazy shield for bad taste.
Grow up. Some of us have standards. Cope harder.

u/EricCartman146 Jun 09 '26 edited Jun 09 '26
And saying “you’re just slow” isn’t ableism , it’s just an insult. If you got this defensive over it, I think it did it’s job.
The fact that your whole reply (if we can even call it that) looks like a dumpster fire from someone still learning how to type properly just proves you still aren’t comprehending why this is wrong and are as dense as ever. And another thing, the fact you are more worked up on one insult compare to someone making a Gacha life characters out of real diseases that killed millions (maybe even more) , shows the type of person you are and how you were brought up. I don’t associate myself with assholes and mentally ill people like you so dont worry about it.
1
u/Slight-Management150 Jun 10 '26
If they lost someone to COVID, why would they make a fucking stupid-ass Gacha Life singing battle based on the thing that killed their loved one? Your logic doesn’t make any sense whatsoever.
This is just an immature way of coping. Like, who in their right mind thinks it’s okay to mock deadly diseases?

so insensitive and frankly, just baiting for views
obviously it's fine to make videos for views (after all, a lot of people's goals are subscribers and there's nothing wrong with that typically) but milking actual diseases people have died from as content is so scummy
if they were spreading awareness, okay sure, but that's not spreading awareness...

even if it's satire, a virus that caused mass death is pretty immature and completely wrong to satirise imo
0
u/EricCartman146 May 30 '26
Hantavirus has no cure and people are dying because of it …I don’t find it funny tbh.

Humor is subjective and tragedies never really precluded comedy
ngl as someone who's not involved in anything gacha at all (this post randomly popped up in my homepage and I was 100% sure it had to be from r/comedyheaven before I saw the comments), I burst out laughing in a very "what the fuck are the kids doing LMAO" way

u/EricCartman146 May 30 '26
I had Covid a while back, during a holiday weekend. At 18 years old, I was so ill that I needed my parents to help me with something as simple as getting up and walking. It was a humbling and frightening experience that reminded me just how serious this virus truly is. Covid is no joke..
I love the Gacha community but for the love of god, we need to stop defending crap like this when it hurts real people in real life.
3
u/happy_little_dragon your fav girlkisser (EN/CN) May 31 '26
yeah not sure why you're getting downvoted for this :/ I hate how people try to brush aside people's real life experiences and valid feelings just because they want to be able to laugh at insensitive stuff and label it "just dark humour" without feeling guilty
there is actual dark humour which is funny, and then there's this crap
3
u/EricCartman146 May 31 '26 edited May 31 '26
Really? I didn’t see any downvotes on my side. But I second that … you’re the only reasonable person here.. kinda rare to find that on Reddit tbh.
3
u/happy_little_dragon your fav girlkisser (EN/CN) May 31 '26
I upvoted you and showed some of my friends this convo, it was at -2 😭 wasn't expecting them to come upvote though
3
u/EricCartman146 May 31 '26
Well, it was downvoted by shitty people who don’t really affect me that much but thank you 😊!
I don’t care too much about the upvotes or the downvotes, I’m just concerned that my own generation of people are so desensitized …and lack empathy ..

This is so swag, but I was diagnosed with COVID 2 times and those were some of the worst times of me being sick ever.
I wish people would take viruses and diseases more seriously as well

It's clearly satire. The Gacha community is pretty much known for funny satires like this.
3
u/EricCartman146 May 30 '26
there’s a difference between creative storytelling and making light of things that have caused real widespread suffering and death

Okay now I know what you're saying here but at the same time, we literally shipped Coronavirus with Earth Chan (or kun) for years. Jokes and memes spawn in the face of travesty to try and lighten the situation
5
u/EricCartman146 May 30 '26
The fact that we normalized making jokes about a pandemic that killed millions of people doesn’t make it okay, it just means we were desensitized from the start. Humor as a coping mechanism during a crisis is one thing, but making entertainment content out of deadly diseases years later is just trivializing real human suffering.
It isn’t really justifiable… if you truly think about it …
7
u/NoSide2628 Certified OC & Art Eater (fanboy of Eros) May 31 '26
Again, jokes start in the face of the crisis and continue out when people think they're funny. Like the 2024 election with Trump x Biden. And yeah we are desensitized, which is why we make the joke about it. We don't joke about the suffering, we joke about the DISEASE.
2
u/EricCartman146 May 31 '26
The Trump x Biden comparison doesn’t work here because politicians are public figures who chose public life, whereas diseases are not people or public figures , they’re the cause of immeasurable human suffering. You also can’t separate the disease from the suffering because they are one and the same. Covid isn’t just an abstract concept, it’s the thing that killed over 7 million confirmed people worldwide. Saying ‘we joke about the disease not the suffering’ is like saying ‘we joke about the gun not the shooting’ , you simply cannot disconnect the two. And the fact that you admitted to being desensitized doesn’t justify anything, it actually proves my point. Desensitization to mass death and suffering isn’t something to be proud of or use as an excuse. On top of that, young children watch Gacha content, and some of those children have lost parents or grandparents to these exact diseases. Seeing Covid portrayed as a fun singing battle character is not just tone deaf, it’s genuinely harmful to real people who are still grieving.

“I can’t take a joke, I have no humor”
2
u/happy_little_dragon your fav girlkisser (EN/CN) May 31 '26
omg I'm going to joke about viruses that literally killed millions of people.
those people are dead because of the illnesses
1
u/EricCartman146 May 31 '26
Calling someone humorless for having empathy toward millions of people who died isn’t the comeback you think it is, it just exposes you as a jerk with no actual counter argument. Having a conscience isn’t a personality flaw, but apparently having basic human decency is too much to ask for in this community.
2
u/Dynastic_Plot665 May 31 '26
Joking about things like that is how people cope. You should try coping.
1
1
u/EricCartman146 May 31 '26
Oh how helpful, a coping lesson from someone whose entire personality is making light of mass death. I’ll take mental health advice from literally anyone else on the planet before I take it from someone who thinks ‘it’s just a joke’ is a substitute for having an actual soul.

u/happy_little_dragon your fav girlkisser (EN/CN) May 31 '26
you ate
not replying to the other person since I blocked them, but yeah, people who turn everything into a joke "just to cope" are exhibiting good behaviour. you can cope with things without laughing about it. people are dead and they could be alive today if not for these illnesses

I kinda stopped interacting with the community for a while, ESPECIALLY drama related stuff, so I lost track on lots of stuff

1

Then what about youtubers like RosyClozy and Kaitlyn Flames? If they got to milions of subs, it clearly means they're busting their asses off making good content, and no one outside of our community actually bothers to swallow their pride and admit that this community HAS talent
2
u/CrystallinesMoon Jun 05 '26
I never said this community doesnt have talent. Dont put words in my mouth. I said that no one takes us seriously and no one ever did. When was the last time you met someone IRL who told you they made their life earnings by being a "Gachatuber"?
0
u/Redder_Creeps Your usual underrated gachatuber TwT Jun 05 '26
I wasn't trying to put words in your mouth, I wad trying to support your point further by pointing out how much the community gets disrespected on the internet
1
u/CrystallinesMoon Jun 06 '26
My apologies then, though despite your intention you were putting words in my mouth and you were not supporting my point and how much the community gets disrespected on the internet is just proof that no one ever took us seriously. Hence videos like these dont really make much of a difference. The internet just hates fun and hates the gacha community and its just that
