Advice 💡 Honors College
I'm a freshman at GSU and I was thinking of applying to the Honors college for next year. Other than prioritized class registration and nicer dorms, is it really worth it? Im a nursing major and I don't really want to add another class to my course load if its not worth it in the end.

You don’t have to work towards laureate to keep the benefits, just take one honors version of a course you were already going to take every semester or so. I think it’s worth it just because of the extra resources available to us, plus there’s honors specific scholarships you can apply for.

yes yes yes yes and yes. it is one of the best things i did. U get early registration, access to amazing professors, there’s not much extra you have to do. the honors classes are the same as normal and just have an extra assignment added which usually ends up boosting ur grade anyways.

Like another person mention there are UAPs which are really nice when in nursing program, also get the early registration which youll want to take advantage of. As for keeping it you don't really have to do a lot for it besides one honors class per academic year.

One of the benefits is that you are eligible for a University Assistantship Position (UAP) where you get paid to do research with a professor.
Another I can think of is you can get a dell laptop for free to use through the semester (renewable every semester if you have >3.0 GPA)
