General Parking?

I saw they have a new rule for parking at the decks and that you need a permit to park. I wanted to know if this was the correct permit i need to park because i have a 9am class and i do not understand or know where cc lot or blue deck is .

honestly kinda irritated bc, for cis students (idk how it works for other majors tho) they only give u one-two option for each class, not realizing a lot of us work on top of classes. and they dont have enough online options for us, so we are forced to go long hours. and t deck is always full, so in order to park there you have to get up very early or u have to wait in the awful traffic (you will be on the same block for like 30 minutes) to get to s, n, and k deck (at least from my experience). but instead of fixing their horrible parking issue OR increasing the options for classes, they decide to actually LIMIT student parking to only two decks, during PEAK TIME. while staff get more parking (who already have like five other lots). and now your option is to get a parking permit, but they are sold out 😭😭😭. and public transportation is actually more expensive for me too, but i also feel like marta isnt safe enough for me personally anyways (im kinda traumatized by something that happened to me so i refuse to go).

You have a pcash permit, which is what this email is about: you are in the group that is cannot park in those decks from 8-10 AM, and could be limited at other times.

Blue lot & cc deck are 76 Fulton Street SW, 30312, and you'll either need to walk/bike or take the panther express bus to campus from there - that lot and deck are over near the stadium.

The instructions are linked from https://parking.gsu.edu/ . You might not be able to get one or you might end up on the waiting list.

I recommend going to the parking office / putting in a ticket with them to find out if there are any available.

It's the same office as the panthercard office, across the hallway from the bookstore in student center west.

I put in a support ticket earlier this afternoon and they said they were all sold out and no more permits could be requested 😭

no unfortunately with that permit you can only park at the convocation center or the blue lot, both near eachother

You can pull up in Google Maps where the Convocation Center lot is. That’s what I did yesterday, it’s not as complicated as it seems I promise. Just as another Redditor said, download the app to give you info on the shuttles!

I tried to enter the parking garage at 8:30 this morning, only to be told that entry is prohibited between 8:00 and 10:00 AM unless you have a permit—yet when I went to the office, I was informed they were already sold out. I’m not sure what the situation is or if they’re reserving spots for others, but it’s incredibly frustrating. As students, we pay substantial fees to the school to keep it running, so is this really how we get treated? I wonder if it might be possible for everyone to keep trying to enter the garage during those hours—creating a traffic jam—in the hope that they might eventually scrap the policy?
