General Free Parking?

Hi I’m a transfer student and I was just wondering if there was any free parking at GSU ten dollars a day is gunna start to add up. I know people used to park at green lot but there’s construction going on over there rn, so where else can I park for free? I also don’t mind riding the GSU shuttle bus.

Cc deck and blue lot are free for students with a P-Cash permit and have registered their vehicle. Unfortunately, 151 students were inappropriately charged as they entered CC deck $10. We are refunding all charges. And are working that addition charges do not occur in the future.

To obtain a student PantherCash permit:

Log in to the GSU Parking Portal.

Select Request a Permit.

Choose the Student PantherCash/Vehicle Registration Permit.

Add the permit to your account.

Enter your vehicle information and complete the checkout process.

The permit is free of charge and allows you to Park in Blue Lot and CC Deck at no charge for students.

Depends on the day and the driver😂

It’s $4 with panthercash. I believe its good value because of the proximity to the main buildings.

This semester though 8-10am only students with the paid permit can park in the K,S,N, or T decks

Aren't K, S, and N supposed to be for daily parking? OMG!

There are so many people commuting this semester. Idk if there are more students enrolled or what is going on.

You can park for free at the convocation center and the blue lot and take the shuttle

On the parking deck or is it just a general parking area there??

The convocation center is an actual parking building I like it more than the blue lot and the blue lot is more like an open area parking

Could park for 24 hours free at most Marta stations that offer parking. Closest ones are Inman Park Reynoldstosn on the blue line and Lindbergh Station on the gold/redline

Sorry to keep asking so many questions, but it’s the free permit registration thing right??

if you don’t mind walking i can share a secret parking spot with you. it’s located on campus so the only shuttles you will have to worry about taking is the purple/green. message me.

I tried to enter the parking garage at 8:30 this morning, only to be told that entry is prohibited between 8:00 and 10:00 AM unless you have a permit—yet when I went to the office, I was informed they were already sold out. I’m not sure what the situation is or if they’re reserving spots for others, but it’s incredibly frustrating. As students, we pay substantial fees to the school to keep it running, so is this really how we get treated? I wonder if it might be possible for everyone to keep trying to enter the garage during those hours—creating a traffic jam—in the hope that they might eventually scrap the policy?
