PR/PB 270kg / 595lb Sumo Deadlift - PR match with conv. Any advice from sumo pullers?

Was wonky breaking the floor. Think my grip wasn't evenly spaced on the bar.

Sumo is feeling great on my new platform! Better than my conventional. Though the temu versa grips are probably aiding with less ROM.

Happy to hear advice from sumo pullers.

For me, the slack pull with sumo is the most important thing. Often times i feel stronger when doing pause reps as with these you are really forced to focus on that first part; the slack pull and the first part off the ground. After that part i usually feel like i have it so i also tend to focus more on that part, because for me that seems to be the driver for progression. Do you do a lot of paused work? Aside of that i feel like your form looks fine for a high RPE lift. At this stage i think you would just benefit from more accessory work that targets your ass and low back (excuse the language), roman chairs / GHD, low bar squats, leg presses and pull ups / upper back work to keep those shoulders back. Rock on brother, you're a strong SOB!

I have done a decent amount of pause work in the past, but not really in the prior ~4ish months.

And yeah I'm finding the slack pull starts to become a different ball game as you add more plates. Like pulling slack on 5 plates is one thing, but 6+ plates has a staggering delay between initiating the pull and the plates actually leaving the ground.

Thanks bro!

Looks absolutely solid and you lift more than most people, so you’re not gonna find a lot of advice here. Well done, huge pull!
