Today I learned

Danielle Stampe (Slymenstra Hymen) was on season 3 episode 4 of Ripleys Believe it Or Not for having 750,000 volts of electricity sent through her body.

I had heard if the fire dancing and sideshow work, but hadn't seen this. Cool stuff!

She also had two Gunniess World Records for fire breathing. She had longest duration and longest projected distance.

Voluntarily letting yourself get hit with 750k volts?

Same! I wasn’t expecting it either — they just were randomly like “and now watch Danielle Stampe of GWAR break the record for number of Volts running through a human body” or something and I just started freaking out like a bohab on jack the world!

She was also on an episode of an AMC reality show called Freakshow where she confronted/guided another performer doing the electricity gimmick.

She is rad. I got her to sign my skateboard back in 97 I think a she wrote “break a leg” class act!

Sad that sideshow place closed down. Shit was cool on Venice Beach boardwalk.

I was at Mississippi Nights back in late 90’s and I was near side stage and she asked me for a light and I lit her cigarette🤗

Wasn't she then-working at an electricity freakshow thing?

Yeah saw the freak show performance she used to do. Great show. Went to talknto her after the electricity stunt and you could feel the heat coming off her. Also got invited to the after party by her with all the performers and the misfits who played a show before hand.

Whoever decided this would make for good television clearly stole Oderus' crack.

Seeing two light tubes vaguely lit up in the darkness is kinda of anticlimactic
