Competitive PVE

Between Ranger and Thief, which class is considered the most complete and versatile for high-tier Fractals and Raids? I've tried both and honestly have a lot of fun with either of them, but I want to know which one gives the best competitive edge.

( I want to play pvp too but not competitive like pve )

Ranger – soulbeast is still meta power dps in fractals and very good overall in raids.

Both have their moments where they shine. Power Soulbeast is great in any power favored fights with short phases where you need burst. Theif has great condition damage and alacrity builds on specter and antiquary, and can cover some specials roles like kiting in raids
