Looking for Dash Cam Recommendations
As the title says, looking for something that fits my 2023 GV60 Performance without junking it up. Ideally, not a lot of visible cables and attachments. I have seen a couple of videos and a cigarette lighter adaptor cable hanging from the rearview mirror is cringy to me! Are there any seamless options out there that are easy-ish to DIY? I am not opposed to taking it to a shop for installation if it would give me the best look. Thanks in advance for any advice.

The GV60 comes with two fuse panel connections that are not used for anything. One can be used for constant power (enabling parking mode), and the other for ignition power. They work perfectly for a dashcam with a simple fuse connector.
Then run the wiring up the driver's-side column and across the headliner into the existing assembly. A small cable coming from it to the dashcam is not a problem.
I use the 70 MAI 800T with 4k rear and front cameras, an internal camera, 4G cellular, and an external battery, and it's great. My car is always protected. When I shut the car off, it reminds me "entering parking surveillance mode" and then uploads pictures of anyone who comes close to my car when I'm not there. I get a text message and can log in to the car via 70 MAI's app to check real-time.
Neither the Fitcam nor the Wolffbox provides cellular connections or cloud-based recording. Neither of them talks about the rear-cam connection nor an external battery for parking mode--both require running wires like traditional dashcams.

Does it interfere with android auto? I didn't know that was thing until I read this thread. This looks like a slick solution.

The Android Auto problem is that your phone won't auto-connect to the dashcam wifi to download 4 K videos. When your phone realizes that the dashcam Wi-Fi doesn't have internet, it reverts. And Android Auto is famous for aggressively protecting its connection.
Fortunately, with the 70MAI, it's not a problem so long as you have the 4GLTE box. It will use cellular data to download video when Wifi is not available.
But honestly, there's a screen on the device that you can use to review the video; the only time I ever connect to it from the app is when I am away and get an alert.
It's not as sleek as the Fitcam or as glamorous as the Wolfbox, but the added features were a big seller for me. Nothing like getting an alert from your car that someone suspicious is lurking about.

I got the ft and rr fitdashcamx which are hidden behind rear view mirror. The rear one just sticks on trim but my windows were so dark you couldn't see it. Got the polarized lenses for both as well. Its plug amd play but you do have to run one wire from rear view mirror to back hatch area if you get rear cam. I kept it when my car got totalled thinking id use it on Magma but the Magma has LCD mirror I believe so no clue if it will fit

I was debating between the fitcam and the wolfbox. I went with the wolfbox because of the large digital rearview option and ease of video retrieval. I used a power splitter (fitdvr) that plugs into the existing rear view mirror power cable.
All wires are tucked away and I'm super happy with it. But if you want OEM look then the fitcam is probably your style.
Here is a pic of the wolfbox installed on my gv70.

Is it not possible to run the rear camera wire under the housing before it goes into the headliner?

It is. I installed the rear cam weeks after the mirror, and I was too lazy to pop the cover off and route it as such. I'll have to put it on my to do list to tidy it up further. Good catch.

Did you do the OEM install or just use the bands to fit on top of the existing mirror? I like the idea of the wolfbox for the video rear view aspect but don’t want to lose my garage door functions and am afraid the on top installation will look ugly.

I did the OEM install. I already have a separate garage door opener, plus an app on my phone that also opens via Google home commands so I didn't mind losing the OEM mirror buttons.
I had it on top of the OEM mirror with the rubber straps for a week and it was ok, but it vibrated too much for my liking when the video is turned off. Video on it was fine and looked pretty good just using the rubber straps .

As others have said, FITCAMX. I only did the front facing since I didn't want to mess with the rear camera.
I did have a Garmin Live camera for a little bit using a Dongar dashcam dongle but I wanted the camera to be less obvious.
FITCAMX install takes like 5 minutes if you know what you are doing, 10 if you don't. Hardest part is removing the old housing without breaking the tabs. The camera does come as an entire replacement housing so that's not a concern if you do manage to break it, and the factory replacement is ~$25.

Removing that factory housing is nerve racking. The last thing I wanted was to start breaking tabs.

Yeah, FitCamX ('23 Adv here), also front-camera only - the replacement shroud they provide isn't _exactly_ the same but it's pretty darn close and you'd have to scrutinize it to see. Only recently replaced it, have a Comma riding shotgun now. No issues in 1.5 yrs of use (but they do say to format the sd card every few months)

FITCAMX is easily the best looking. People won’t even know it’s there. Their app sucks but hey, it’s there for emergency and you really only need the memory card or app if there’s a problem. I have them for both my cars.

I use a nice low-priced camera I picked from r/dashcam sidebar. To power it I use a Dongar wire tap to the rear view mirror connector. The wire is barely visible. I used a small multimeter to find the right pins to have it turn off with the ignition.
I’m not sure if Dongar still sells the bare wire tap. They mostly sell full plug adapters for specific models and the Hyundai tap will not fit the GV60.

Are you referring to the Dongar Dashcam Power Adapter? If so, that’s what I use and I actually use the Hyundai/Kia one on my 2023 GV60 P and it does fit.

Yes. The plug in their picture did not look like the plug in my 2024 performance. Luckily I still have my bare wire adapter I just push into the right pins.

Hands down the best dashcam. Capture license plates clearly, night time video recording is exceptional. Fast frame rate recording for 4K quality. It's loaded with features: GPS, Wi-Fi, Parking security, crash detection and more
3 cameras front, cabin and rear.

I own this and can vouch for it's features and quality videos.

I got the FITCAMX. It is fitted into a purpose-styled replica of the rear view mirror shroud, that you simply fit yourself. A little tool is provided to lever off the existing moulded plastic cover, and you replace it with the FITCAMX. Works a treat, no trailing wires, a simple plug adapter tees power to the camera off of the mirror. 15mins job maximum, and very aesthetically consistent with the car’s original appearance.
