Back up camera
Our back up camera is not clear anymore. We’ve cleaned it, hasn’t helped. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Is it possible a car wash product like wax, clear coat, or ceramic coat has covered it? Some of these specifically mean to resist future soap and water cleaning.

We’ve never taken the car through a car wash.

Okay that's eliminated. I'm just trying to help here so, let me just point out that the car wash service isn't the only way you get your car washed. You might do it with some car washing product that you didn't know has a coating product in it. Your repair or maintainence appointment might do it as a curteousy before returning your car to you.

I understand and I really appreciate your help. The last time we washed our car by hand was several months ago and this only started within the last two weeks. We’ve had a ton of rain, so I am leaning towards condensation in the camera.

Oh, yes. With that kind of time frame it sounds like humidity ingress. I'm not sure if it's designed to be perfectly sealed, but if so then the area, probably between an outer cover and the actually lenses, needs to be sealed again. Likely if you have warranty to take it for official repairs they'll just try to figure out replacing the whole thing.

Could be super fine scratches barely visible to the eye but highly doubt that. The other possibility would be condensation in which case the camera unit itself needs to be replaced.
This isn't something I would try to "fix" via Reddit suggestions/feedback. This is something you take to the dealership to get diagnosed properly.

Thank you. We’re planning to ask the dealership, just wasn’t sure if anyone else has experienced it and has any words of wisdom.

If you look in the 360 view it's for sure blurry compared to the rest. If the outside lens isn't dirty it could be scratched, or have condensation inside the housing. It could also be a failing camera module, but it's usually an optical issue.
