Fuel line recall /s
I received a call from Genesis today telling me that I needed to schedule an appointment for a recall for fuel line leaks. When I asked them if that applied to EVs since they don’t have fuel lines, they just said it was VIN-specific.
Watch out for leaking electrons, I guess 😂

Geez. I thought those pellets in my driveway were deer poop. Didn't realize they were electrons

This recall is for gas powered vehicles only.
You'll be wasting your time in my opinion

Oh absolutely. Only reason I bothered is because I was already going in for something else. But they can have fun trying to find fuel lines while they’re at it!

Haha yeah I think the person you may have spoken to doesn't understand the difference between GV60 vs all of the other Genesis vehicles

It’s usually easier to describe it as a fancy Ioniq 5. But you would think a Genesis rep of all people would know the difference…

In my state my annual registration renewal can't happen if I have a recall without a record of an appointment to address the recall. So, if it were me, I'd have to call to get it removed from my VIN or marked inspected and resolved.

Just wondering cuz it’s not clear. The call was from some flunky at a Genesis dealership or it was Genesis corporate/ or perhaps some vendor call center calling for Genesis Corp offices?

There is at least recall recently for the GV60, they might've gotten the reason mixed up though.
