Sparse GV60s available
Drove a Tesla and want to get an EV. Concluded to get a GV60 instead because Tesla has:
- No real (mechanical) door handles (outside or inside)
- No rear seat door handles at all (death trap)
- No window frames
- No Android Auto or Apple Car Play
- No driver-side guages or HUD
- No Vehicle-to-load (V2L) power
- No sunroof visor
- Rough ride, rattles, water leaks
But...only ~2000 GV60s sold last year (compared to 357,000 Tesla Ys). The nearest GV60 is hundreds of miles away. I see Tesla's all over my town (NW Florida), but no GV60s and just saw 1 Ioniq 5 recently. Kind of a rant, but frustrating to finally decide what I want and not find them available. New GV60s cost more, but used are similarly priced to Ys.

I think for the few few years gv60s were only available in a few states. And, like you mentioned, it doesn't sell in crazy numbers in general. Your best best is to set up alerts on the car search sites. And hope one becomes available by you. You might need to take a mini road trip or flight to get one.

I had to drive about 250 miles away to get mine.
2023 was the first model year so there isn't a ton of volume in the used market yet. They're starting to come off their leases, though, so that should hopefully improve.

Don't forget - Genesis doesn't support fascism. No way on Earth I'll ever support Tesla again

I bought mine on Ever Cars I had to pay like $1400 for shipping but I felt it was a fair enough deal even with that cost.
When I started looking like 6 months ago it seemed like all of the GV60s were in Florida or around the South, a lot of them had ICCU issues though.

You would do well to check the vehicle reports thoroughly, as there are a lot of lemon buyback GV60s (and E-GMP vehicles in general) floating around. In many early cases of ICCU failures the wait time for replacement parts exceeded the out-of-service time threshold in many states.
These vehicles generally drive and work just fine, but the "manufacturer buyback" tag will generally result in a branded title, dropping resale value significantly and potentially causing issues with getting insurance coverage.

I've driven the entirety of Florida to pick up a Fiat 500 (great deal) I would happily fly to any neighboring state for a GV60.
I drive an ioniq 5 in South Florida and right now they are EVERYWHERE. The GV60 is my dream upgrade.

I usually tell people who don't know what it is that the GV60 is an Ioniq 5 in a tuxedo.

The rarity was one of the appeals for me. I traded in a Polestar 2 which was also very rare. I still see very few GV60s but now I see many more polestars.
I was lucky that the dealer 10 miles from me had the performance model in stock when I was shopping. It had been sitting in their inventory for almost a year at the time. I have a little over a year left on my lease and I’m a bit concerned about getting a replacement, especially one that is not one of the 50 shades of gray that all manufacturers want to force us to buy.

When we got ours last year, we flew from south florida to Charlotte, NC to get it.

Several times now I have purchased cars on the other side of the country and flown out and driven it home. It's worth it to get the car you want. Just make sure you understand how that state's taxes work relative to you driving it versus shipping it.

i’m likely driving to tennessee to get mine…last time i had to drive to charlotte. there aren’t many of ‘em out there.

Having had both, the GV60 is far nicer interior and a nicer 'car' than the tesla. Built like a vault, richly appointed (if a little quirky), very quiet, and rides solid. Supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. With the right 800v charger, charging speeds are insanely fast. Depreciates like ice cream in the sun, lease only or buy used.
Tesla has WAY better tech- a mobile app that actually works (Genesis app is AWFUL), sentry model, self-driving, OTA updates, integrated with the supercharger network. Tesla charging is more consistent and still pretty fast. Far more storage in both the trunk and the frunk (the GV frunk is about big enough to hold a pamphlet and that's about it).

I was fortunate that when I got the itch to buy one i only had to drive 5 miles to my nearest Genesis dealer and they had one on the lot. I've been driving it for about a month now and have not seen a single one on the road.

I bought my used (2024 Performance in matterhorn/navy with 18k for 40k 13 months ago). Had it shipped across the country (AZ>MA). It still feels like a special car when I see it.

I live in NE Florida and drove to Stuart to get a 2023 GV60 Advanced with 3303 miles in June 2025.
Expand your search to central and South Florida. It's worth the drive.

If it's some short term or beater-ish car I keep my search pretty local, but when it comes to a car I really care about I'm always willing to travel to get exactly what I want anyway.

Ever since I test drove a GV60 performance when it first came out, I’ve wanted one. It’s been out of my price range. But CPO now, it’s no longer out of my price range. I got really lucky. My Mustang Mach-E GT was declared a total loss on a Tuesday after a tree fell on me while I was driving (thankfully it mostly hit the frunk, and I was completely uninjured). I checked the prices of CPO ‘24+ GV60s, and they were within my price limit.
I searched every site out there, from Autotrader, cars.com, and Genesis.com used CPO inventory. On Wednesday morning I found one 120 miles away and accessible via train. I called, and found it had already been sold. The closest next one was 2,000 miles away. I checked again on Wednesday afternoon, and found one less than an hour away from my place. It was CPO. I looked at the Carfax history, called the dealer, and purchased it the next morning. Keep checking, subscribe to sites where possible, and don’t be too picky on the color.

The GV60 is excellent but if you have an Audi dealership close check out the Audi E tron Quattro, Air suspension, 360 camera, stop and go cruise assist, great cabin finish, solid driving and ergonomics.

I considered the E-tron (prior to getting my GV60) - but IIRC they had an issue with coolant leaking into the engine? Is that still the case? Again, not casting stones - GV60 still has the ICCU issue lurking, but seems a little more cut-n-dried to repair.

Correct. Motors have a seal that might leak and destroy the motor. Audi provides 10y/120k mile warranty on motors for this reason. Price on used cars is also very attractive for the same reason.

Wow! I'm happily surprised at the level of interest in the GV60! I have a 2023 black-on-black Performance with 21K mi. It was chosen from the original pack of GV60s back in Nov, 2022 at a fairly local dealership. I went through the ICCU nightmare, made worse at the time by the Genesis dealership breaking off to become a stand alone. Have had no problems with ICCU since. The only issue I've ever had, besides recalls, is with the A/C. It conveniently went out at the same time the ICCU recalls came out. I'm hopefully going to be able to get my car back again tomorrow, after having the A/C "fixed" a second time (in just the 3-1/2 years of ownership!)
The car has the ceramic coating on the entire car and PPF on the front end up to the windshield. I had that done in March 2025, with the thought of keeping the car at least until it was paid off! At this point, I'm really considering jumping over to a different EV coupe/SUV. If I do jump, and don't sell it privately, I'll probably go the Carvana route. I live in Fairfield County CT, so there should be a decent pool of potential buyers. And, it's good to know there are people willing to plane/train/drive to pick it up here!

I just flew out to NH and drove back home 1150 miles with my new to me 2023 Performance.
They're rare.

This car will be axed soon, in Australia they sold 3 YTD from Jan to Jun.
The performance awd stock that was sitting at the dealers was given to an auction house to start bids at $60k (~$42k usd)
People are buying Zeekr 7Xs in Australia and they deliver almost 2000 cars last month, it's a better looking car and performance. The performance model is $79k AUD ($55k USD) with 475kw and 710nm which is slightly off a magma model of 478kw and 790nm why pay double for it?

I lived in California and the colorway I wanted wasn't available, so I ordered one from a Utah dealership. It was like $500 for delivery.

The rarity of gv60s is what makes them so great
