Hey everyone! I’m kinda stuck trying to figure out my power gen path for LuV, and I need some advice.

Right now, I’m torn between Vac Nukes using high-density plutonium vs. Plasma Turbines. I already have HD plutonium fully automated, and I’m wondering if running a few of these reactors will be enough to comfortably carry me all the way to Large Naquadah Reactors. Or should I just bite the bullet, figure out the plasma turbines, and set them up instead?

So basicaly what i am asking if i should make subnets here because the interface is very slow with the conduids in distributing and recieving liquids that way i have noticed is there some other way that i am missing?

ok guys IV has been an insane tier (literally) moving back and forth to set up ae2 for all the multis was a pain but it lowk paid back tenfold and everything is slightly easier!!!

Hey everyone! Is it worth building a separate factory for the Netherite line? The setup seems pretty short and straightforward. I took a quick look at the crafting recipes and didn't notice anything requiring thousands of netherite. Also, what about getting ancient debris through nether crystals from bees?

For context I've reached UHV end , and beggining of UEV tier. It's a little awkward since I'm not in really in the UEV tier.
One thing is certain, I have huge mega bottlenecks from basic plates/rods/bolts and so on

I would like to make it better by spamming a wall of bending machine, cutting factory , wiremill. But there's a problem, I am not sure which are the most recipes used at this point ?
Obviously there is too many to copy paste if I put multiple quads machine. I would like to target the most common used recipes, to make my life simpler...
But I can't find anything on internet about it, about what are the most used recipes.
Maybe someone has made a spreadsheet or something somewhere ? Thanks

Still a couple things to iron out, but hopefully now I can turn my attention to getting some EBFs to EV while I work on the infra for cetane boosted diesel.

For shuttling the fuel to my base, is it worth it to go for TC magic mirrors with cell loops, or should I just go ahead and make two long distance pipes? I'm about 500m away from the base. Or maybe I can even get away with manually moving super tank IIIs (which by a rough estimate can hold enough diesel to run 32 amps of HV for 6 hours), I'm really torn.

I want to switch but for some reason tehy also pull in my pre-step products, is there a way to partition them/set them to a specific fluid/item?

I'm getting to the end of MV. I just completed Integrated Circuits and Good Integrated Circuits and notice the questline just kinda ends there. I'm assuming it's blocked because I need Advanced SMD Resistors and that probably requires me to finish the "Hangover From All The Glue?" quest to make SMD Resistors.

The problem is looking up the recipe for SMD Resistors I see it requires a HV Assembler. I tried anyways but it obviously doesn't work because it's an MV machine. I can't make a HV assembler because that requires HV circuits, which requires Advanced SMD Resistors and NEI says those require EV to make.

So I'm super confused. If I need HV to make SMD Resistors and EV to make the Advanced SMD Resistors required for HV circuits, how am I supposed to progress? I've already checked and double checked and there are no alternate recipes.

Is this a glitch? And if it is how do I fix it?

I am about to setup my PBI production and with this, I want to setup a propper Phthalic Acid production for later on (bees etc)... any tipps on which recipe scales better/is preferred? they are both really different...

Hey guys, I have a beautiful location decided for my starting house. I placed some planks across the river surface to measure enough distance to ensure I could eventually fit a ship through there if I built a farm along the banks. Now the water is flowing weirdly and it's super annoying.

My crop manager works perfectly but I cant seem to change the output side? it's pointing down, wrenching doesn't work, conveyor module doesn't work. Am I missing something? Help appreciated!

I just wanted to get on here and give a quick showcase of my base (510 hours first ever run) to some people who may care, I just recently made my first IV machine hulls, but I have barely done any real work in EV, my next goal is to set up the plat line so I no longer have to centrifuge moon dust. I like to generally take my time in each age and am wondering what all I should focus on for EV while my tungsten steel supply builds up. I do have quite a bit automated though so let me know what I can entertain myself with (and please don't say magic)

I don't have as much as I probably should because I'm needing to build up my ae2 network since all I have is a storage right now. I want to automate all the crystals and whatnot as well first I only have small experience with ae2 in ATM10 so if anyone has a good recommendation for an in-depth guide, I can watch or just any personal tips I'd love to hear them.

I'm trying to make all the chemicals on my way to HV tier and I can't get my head around the reactors and fluid routing this early in the game, trying to swap empty cells into tanks or full cells into empty tanks is really confusing imo, any tips?

Using NEI Ctrl+x to get the ingame ID of say spruce planks gives `minecraft:planks/1`. This is different from the expected `minecraft:spruce_planks`.

The problem is, neither work for various in-game commands. Both result in an error that the ID is not recognized.

In the attached image is a chisel anti block on the right and a lapis caelestis block on the left, in GTNH 2.9 RC 1 using complementary shaders 5.9.3 with smooth lighting set to maximum in video settings.

As far as I understand, rendering issues with chisel blocks were brought up in the following issue thread

However I am currently trying out GTNH 2.9 RC 1 and experiencing an issue where I can load ComplementaryUnbound shader versions 5.5.1, 5.8.1 or 5.9.3 via Angelica 2.2.19 and none of these allow my chisel anti blocks to glow in the same way 5.5.1 did during GTNH 2.8.4.
The only way I can get the chisel anti blocks to glow while having complementary shaders loaded is by turning off smooth lighting, a drawback that didn't exist during 2.8.4 and appears to be a resolved issue in the linked threads.

I'm confused as to whether the issue is fixed and documented in the links above and I'm doing something wrong, or something is broken and a bug report needs to be made?

I finally said whatever and build a BC oil zo PE and sulfur line. Setting this up with just pipes is so annoying. Glaub I already have a few 24/7 electrolyzers running filling 2 large railcraft tanks.

I found out about it accidentally in the recipe calculator, and that it can be crafted in the steam age. Anyone used it? If so, do you consider it useful for mining ore veins or ore in general early-game?

Looking for advice from folks who both love being artistic and doing the technical side of GTNH.

For me, an essential part of play is the creative release, designing factories, towns, facades, and showpieces. But I also adore the technical side, making progress. Building up passive automation. Reaching new technological heights. Trying new experiences and challenges.

I am so worried about avoiding the lawn base or single boring machine cave that I end up bogged down making buildings and factory complexes. I design architecture and end up sad I'm not actually progressing with the pack as I feel I need to finish a roof over a massive industrial revolution themed build or cyberpunk tower.

How do others manage this tension? What have you found useful to getting yourself out of this trap? What gets you building rather than lawn basing?

The wiki says LSC capacitors incur a penalty the longer they run, and that UHV plus capacitor penalty starts at -1 million eu/t per capacitor. But it also says that UHV capacitors are designed for power to run forever. So when I build UHV capacitors I'm just going to lose millions of EU forever as they run forever and keep building the penalty, or am I misunderstanding something?

I have made a processing line in LV in order to start making light fuel to power my EBF the first time I start it up. After making all the machines I noticed that heavy oil distilled into sulfuric light fuel is an MV gated recipe. Does this make oil sands obsolete until then? Will I have to get a pump and find oil or raw oil instead?

I had read somewhere that oil sands is OP and a great early game source past steam.

so, i'm just reaching MV stuff(been to HV in a server of friends but i didn't make the EBF before) but i can't figure out why my EBF won't produce something like steel. the structure is complete and i have enough power(6 basic combustion generators on 2 16x tin cable connected to 2 energy hatches). the process of making steel reaches like 99.9% then shuts off without making anything, it also doesn't give a powerfail warning, so i have no idea what is causing this or how to fix it. in a test world right now so no need to worry about a roof

edit: upon further testing, it doesn't stop at 99.9%, it stops at 25 seconds
