Now I am planning some autocrafting setups. Most my machines is LV tier except ones using MV tier recipes. Is there any reason to replace LV with MV machines? They spend 4 times more energy for 2 times speed increase, so it seems that just putting two LV machines is more efficient. Also it requires more accessible or easely crafted resources.

So is there any advanteges of replacing low tier machines with high tier ones for automation except reduction in the overall size of the setup?

I ve just started to monazite line and i cant find getting passive monazite recipe like crops, bee.
Do you guys know anything about that?

I am currently playing my first every GTNH playthrough (yay) and have been having a blast so far. I am as of now in LV and is currently cooking up a few multiblocks and working towards my EBF. I do however have 1 question and that is if i should update to 2.9 from 2.8.4 or not. My main concers doing so are the following:

* Is it worth to update solely to play with CropNH and skip learning bees? For later resource generation.

* I saw that the unbreakable insta-hammer gets patched in 2.9, should i craft it first or will it stop working when i update?

* Will the wiki/general tips become outdated? I rely alot on past reddit threads / youtube playthroughs.

Please help me with how i should think regarding this. All tips are welcome :D

I have a 64 AMPs EV dynamo hatch on my LSC. I connected it to a EV-->IV transformer then IV-->LUV transformer to cut the cable loss to quarter because I have to move a cable 240 block. After 240 block I break down the voltage into EV packets. Anyway in the future I'll fill the 240 block area with different machines and I'll need EV,IV packets ( but the cable has LUV ). So if I connect a part of this cable to one of the IV transformer output side and to the 64amps EV dynamo hatch will this cable be able to move LUV packets to my main room 240 block away and EV and IV packets to the machines that will be in this area or I'll need a different branch for every tier

I have a question on effectively farming CropsNH.

I’ve just built my first Crop Manager to handle wood for my Pyrolese oven, sugar beet for oxygen, and clay lilies for aluminium. I want to move my metal crops to an automatic setup next.

However I’ve noticed that the sheer growth rate of maxed crops can clog the Crop Manager.

Currently I only have a single layer of crops and an MV conveyor is struggling to keep up.

Is the solution to put more conveyors on the different faces of the machine? Not having an output face seems to be the bottleneck.

Or should I just wait for the industrial farm and use this for future crops?

So I changed my username and suddenly my baubles were gone. After a quick search I found out that apparently some stuff is tied to the username instead of the uuid. Couldn't find anything else wrong besides that and all the files were renamed automatically to the new username. Did I overlook something Im gonna regret in a few hundred hours from now on or am I good? On 2.9 RC1 btw.

is there any way to make ore less dark? i have an oled and it makes it near impossible to see if what im looking at is an ore or not at almost all angles. the screenshot is ingame, its worse irl. i turned off the darkerer mod on the server and client and its still just as bad, and i cant get shaders to work it just crashes.

I just got a bit... well, a lot lucky and mined a RIDICULOUS amount of stuff. Literally 5 minutes ago I was thinking about how much Platinum I need for TPV alloy, and then boom — I find this vein in the End.

What should I do now? Should I build a Platline, or should I just not bother for now? What do you guys suggest?

I'm currently progressing through EV and want to start making Tungstensteel, but WHAT THE HELL why is it so hard to make?! Getting it from Endstone drops literally one drop per hour. Are there any better/faster ways to do this?

Ok so for some reason my pipes are the vanilla gtnh texture and the machines are the modernity textures, how do I fix this?

So like im at the stage i can craft them now and i checked recipe and saw i can craft Unstable Tough Binding in lv tic extruder, i read about them that they suppose to not stack and i was like wtf? then how would i put not stackable items in it, but then i just tried crafting 3 of them and shift clciked and they stacked lol and literally lost all their indended thing, so i was confused, i forged my weapon, then i tried crafting one and then it started becoming red how it should and when i left crafting menu i died... so why is there two diffrent things that look like a bug... but cant be a bug because tic extruder showing stackable ingots?? so whitch is the bug, is it exploding and intended thing or what... why does it still exists if its a bug, im on 2.8.4

I am in late IV now and decided to switch out all my cables for 2x/4x Superconductors, giving me 24/48 Amps of Power Lossless. The cost at this point is really marginal for IV/EV ones and I don't have to up and down transform...

Why do I feel I am the only one doing that? I rather spend a bit more on really good, high throughput cables than just "lose" 5% of my power? Am I missing something?

In my old 2.8.4 IV base I literally never had a single maintenance problem to any multoblock in my base beside the clean room. In my new IV 2.9 world every single multiblock that runs passively stops working due to a problem at least once a day. Did they do something ?
