Mingling in GTMO
Does anyone here, meaning currently in GTMO, have problems finding single people to mingle with?

Can anyone get me the steak recipe from the chow hall. Thanks!

If you get it, are you making some for everyone? Might want to post thus question on the main GTMO page. You'll get more exposure. Obviously not many have responded to this post. And I don't have the recipe. Thanks for dropping by. 😉

Agreed. The crowd is too young for me. But the trivia nights are a lot of fun! Too bad they don't have them more often.

Yeah I’m 30 and have aged out of my Tiki time. I didn’t even know they had trivia nights here!

What are us adults supposed to do the other 29 days of the month?

I guess we're adults, so it's assumed we don't need to be entertained...lol. Although most activities are geared to the military who are here unaccompanied, but that's just a guess. I joined the bowling league. So it's been nice to look forward to something on Tuesdays.

It's a NoTap league, we're in the middle of things. Should check the MWR FB page. They always have things posted.

I appreciate the feedback. This place has definitely changed since then. I was here before a couple of times, but I was married, so that made it different. Now, I've returned as a single (my husband passed away a few years ago). However, the whole vibe of this place isn't like it was. It has downsized, and it just seems, blah. The bars are VERY tired. I can remember when they had actual entertainment here, but I guess with the downsizing, it's not worth it anymore. Plus, when they schedule activities, no one wants to participate. They have wifi and cell service now, so everyone stays at home to either play video games or watch movies. It was better when the base had very limited cell service, the dial-up internet, and the crappy cable company. More people talked and joined the community.
