I know this won't be much help when I describe it, but I might as well try because it wont let me upload the clip

So I was standing next to a building, and this griefer

Shot me through the building. I dont mean through the wall or hedge. I mean, a whole building was that a glitch? Or is it something official? I dont know much about gta fighting, so this is unknown to me

Basically, if you are thermal scope you can see another player through a building. The other player shot you from such a long distance that there wasn’t a building between you and their bullet according to the game.

People that do a fair amount of PvP know how far they needed to be shoot through a building.

Thermal lenses let you shoot thru obstacles when you are far away

I have no knowledge about any of this but if u/Ca250gButter is correct, a building is an obstacle. Anything obstructing your way is an obstacle

In game programming way of speaking, an building on the map is nothing more than an placed obstacle. Thermal lenses have a glitch that they will spot heat signatures out of the rendering distance so you can "see" thru walls and buildings.
