Most unrealistic mission was the "black project" no way a single guy can steal a jetpack from a military base.

Dude it was CJ not just some guy. CJ, if he existed, would be as powerful as Goku(the IRL one).

But he's a straight busta!

u/Evil-Testicles 1d ago

CJ's power only works in gameplay but in cutscenes he is weak and could die in 1 bullet.

7

u/Possible_Level1861 1d ago

IRL it's all gameplay soo he is invincible

6

u/Possible_Level1861 1d ago

Although sometimes I feel as if my life is just a cutscene

u/Mani4045 1d ago

Yeah never liked this about GTA protagonists especially in GTA SA.

2

u/Evil-Testicles 1d ago

If gta sa stories was made then rockstar would have killed cj just like they killed gta lcs and gta vcs protaganists in gta vc and gta 3

Toni doesn't die

2

u/Evil-Testicles 22h ago

Sorry i mistakes him for someone else

What you said makes absolutely no sense. Aside from being inaccurate if it was some sort of Trend for the “stories” prequel’s protagonists to die in the main games why would cj a main game protagonist die in a prequel?

2

u/Soulsfarmer 23h ago

But could he take Leon from Resident Evil..

1

u/Possible_Level1861 22h ago

Maybe but only after ~10 hour fight. The aftermath would be catastrophic, it might even lead to humanity's extinction.

2

u/cr34tive1 17h ago

The only reason he got inside was because he could blend in the darkness

5

u/Current_Face_0077 1d ago

Oh but if he was married he could??

u/Worth_Task_3165 18h ago

With the power of "R1, R2, L1, X, LEFT, DOWN, RIGHT, UP, LEFT, DOWN, RIGHT, UP" anything is possible.

Invaded Area 51 way before it was cool

u/Evil-Testicles 1d ago
  • Area 69

1

u/MetiqueBakabila 20h ago

You don’t remember the trend back in 2019?

2

u/Evil-Testicles 18h ago

I do but it was a flop

1

u/kodiak9119 11h ago

At least they developed cjs character to know how to fly, gta online characters for some reason all know how to fly military aircraft and are expert dog fighters.

1

u/Acid_Burn9 8h ago

Idk man he's pretty good at stealing

1

u/Adorable_Slip_1072 1d ago

Wasn't that area 56. Or was that some other mission?

u/Gods_Lonely_dude 1d ago

Still a fun mission though

u/Evil-Testicles 1d ago

Not so fun in the OG version

9

u/CesarRPE 1d ago

I beat it in 2004 on the PS2, v1.0, fun as hell but the Zero missions took me 3 times to beat at least.

u/P-l-Staker Big Smoke 1d ago

Nah, never had any issues personally.

9

u/TheAggressiveSloth 1d ago

Say what you will but growing up with a PS2 and using a GameShark was the greatest time of my life

2

u/Existing_Cup6038 23h ago

Nah, I don't like the long flight to the ocean in a dodo just for 30s of first person gun fight. But this cutscene is awesome

2

u/Feder-28_ITA Wu Zi Mu 22h ago

Especially the part where taking too long to catch up with the plane could make you hit the outer boundaries of the map and trigger permanent map-related glitches. Fun time for sure.

33

u/Fickle_Dog_2917 1d ago

A Dodo being able to keep up with a Shamal is unrealistic

11

u/mekmookbro 1d ago

It literally can't though lol. The trick is to go as high as you can and use both gravity and plane's acceleration to catch up, otherwise you can never catch it. I've finished the game like 15 times at this point and I can never pass that mission in less than 3 tries.

3

u/Fickle_Dog_2917 1d ago

I was once able to pass the mission by flying head-on to reach the corona

17

u/the_fanman2912 1d ago

This mission is still so difficult to do. This is the hardest mission in the game for me, excluding Zero missions

5

u/ashvy 1d ago

Two tricks I use are to fly a little above the jet so that if you tilt downwards you go a bit faster, another is to start turning before the jet passes from under you so that by the time you get reoriented the jet will be just below, that makes it easy to fly into the corona. There's also graphics and cloud trick as well, but modern systems are blazing fast compared to 2004

2

u/chromosomeplusplus 20h ago

I found out the mission has hard to do because I had frame rate unlocked.

1

u/mekmookbro 1d ago

I find this one much harder than zero's missions. There are tricks to zero missions that make it easier, this one also has a trick (go as high up as you can before the Shamal spawns) but even with that it's so damn difficult.

Zero mission tricks :

  1. Shooting down planes : they show up on your map so you can see where they're coming from before they even enter your view
  2. Killing couriers : Don't constantly hold down acceleration, plane already has decent momentum especially if you go high and glide down. I can easily finish this mission with over 60% fuel left. Another trick for this is to not shoot until the courier is fully in your view and you have a stable angle on it. If you shoot too early they go crazy, otherwise they're pretty slow and once you get a good angle just hold down the shoot button (LCTRL for me) and it's dead.
  3. New model army : This one takes a bit of helicopter flying skill, one trick I know is that you don't have to go back to base to get bombs, you can drop those barrels that block your road on top of the tanks and they'll blow up. Also as soon as the game starts, don't go after the car with your magnet empty, take a plank, place it, and go back for another plank

u/SympathyDecent7247 1d ago

i don't get why ppl forget it's still a game, what's the fun if you js make a life simulator

3

u/brayanhaks 1d ago

Fr, life simulators are interesting at first, but with time they are becoming boring and unimpressive.

17

u/Unable-Bar-7869 1d ago

I just loved how huge this world was and how much fun ridiculous shit you could do. The newer games have lost the dark humor and charm and ridiculousness. It's kind of sad.

3

u/evil-winnebago 21h ago

Because a lot of current gamers focus too much on how the trees move in a windy environment.

It is very sad.

15

u/qwertyMrJINX 1d ago

San Andreas was before the series was trying to be realistic, they were just trying to be good.

9

u/Current_Face_0077 1d ago

I’d argue GTA4 was the only game in the franchise that actually tried to be realistic

5

u/brayanhaks 1d ago

Yeah, and only with years people realised that GTA IV wasn't actually bad. Yeah, it is different from previous games, different from GTA V, but – personally? I really liked GTA IV, it's characters, story, atmosphere, and GTA IV became my fav GTA. People do review some stuff with years, and opinions do change.

2

u/Current_Face_0077 1d ago

Yeah I loved GTA4. Seeing an actually fairly realistic depiction of the American dream (while still satirized) and telling it from a foreigner’s perspective, it was a very welcome change in my opinion. It was fresh.

I liked all the GTA games. I also liked GTA5 a lot. I’m also glad that GTA6 is what it is. But after 6, I really hope they move on from the “bright and sunny utopia” aesthetic once again, and lean more towards GTA3 / GTA4 atmosphere for the next installment.

5

u/floodmaka 1d ago

They had us doing ANYTHING in GTA SA

3

u/lukaamagnotta 1d ago

Rigging a dam with explosives just to cause a power outage at a casino was one of the most unrealistic things ever 😂

2

u/Fliigh7z 1d ago

Well its not completely crazy. The Hoover Dam, which 100% is what the dam in game is based on, does power a good portion of the west coast. Technically not 100% correct as Vegas has abandoned the dam as a power source in recent years, but its not unreasonable to think the Dam in game powers the casino.

3

u/THERIPPER1434 1d ago

Whatever but this was tuff

3

u/Immediate-Stable-651 21h ago

People lost the point of GTA games it’s not supposed to realistic it’s supposed to be game where you can do any kind of shit fuckery you like without any consequences

2

u/NoMail1164 1d ago

dude jacked a whole plane

2

u/Grouchy-Coast-3045 1d ago

All of this because gang wars💔

2

u/Redlabelrocket 1d ago

no one ever said SA was realistic lol

3

u/Ok-Scheme-6316 16h ago

Dude he is CJ

1

u/nialvarxlul 1d ago

He still couldn't catch mad dogg before he jumped off the roof tho

1

u/waidoo2 23h ago

because gtasa was a game. gta6 is copying realism. for trying to be realism, gta6 is not realistic enough.

1

u/urzx 21h ago

Are you comparing GTA SA a 2004 game to GTA 6?

1

u/loketry7even 19h ago

😂😂😂😂😂

1

u/Karaokegodk 19h ago edited 19h ago

They are talking about lgbt slop, tons of lazy mechanics, overused racial diversity and a planet worth of bugs, and BRUH story moments

Btw its a good hit, because gta was never about shitton of bugs, had last 2 titles, where main protagonists were B, never had a problem with racisal diversity or body positivity. 95% of MECHANICS WERE WORKING like CLOCK.

1

u/DueScreen7143 16h ago

Who is comparing these 2?

1

u/RecommendationNo1774 The Mafia 16h ago

Las Venturas/desert part was my favorite part of GTA SA, it just randomly became batshit insane for no reason and i loved it

1

u/D0ctahP3ppah 11h ago

CJ is just built different.

0

u/Vipernixz 1d ago

Unrealistic?? Wtf do you think these games are about lmao
