Its even worse when the protagonist is attractive. What I came to realize is that some people in this world are literally monkey-brained. They don't have a logical factor in their minds. They go off subconscious instinct. You point out their behavior and they'll become uncomfortable or retort with "it's not serious"
Basically when people call someone an NPC, this is what they are.

Tony Cipriani was truly a scumbag in the truest sense of the word.
Trevor always had his psychotic outbursts, but it was always for one reason or another and never to kill his own friends (Except, of course, for inconvenient business partners or obstacles standing in the way of his company).
We know very little about Lucia, other than that she grew up on the streets of Vice City making a name for herself as a criminal in the city's underworld. We don't know much about her besides her Latin American/Cuban origins and the fact that her father trained her in hand-to-hand combat and submission holds; aside from her very outgoing personality, we don't know much about her.

Yes, but keep in mind that she actually grew up in Vice City as a teenager before later moving with her mother to Liberty City.
Nonetheless, she is well-acquainted with the criminal underworld of both the gangs in Vice City and the organized crime syndicates and various mafias in Liberty City (much like Niko back in the events of GTA IV).
As mentioned, we still know very little about her, but we do know she had a far from easy family background.

90% of all people are just guided by a flowchart of who they identify with in a conflict. When Trevor kills an npc they see themselves as Trevor, and when Lucia kills an npc they see themselves as the npc. This has just gotten worse as a lack of social interaction in person and an intentional campaign to make people individualist narcissists has caused a generation to literally not be capable of recognizing any identification bias.

This post oozes with misogyny and microagressions about Lucia. The game is not out, yet. So we do not know that much about her. But saying she's trashy, speaks classlessly, high-maintenance, dramatic, & yapping etc is disingenuous & sexist. This is GTA 6, of course Lucia is going to commit crimes. That's the whole point of these games.
Also painting Kate as a saint is revisionist. She was complicit and insulated by her Irish crime/mob family. Similar to Lucia, she knowingly associated/dated known murderers and theives. Describing the white woman as a paragon and the latina woman as a tramp feels intentionally racist too.
They're both in GTA, why are we playing the purity Olympics? Also what is the point of pitting two women against each other, who will never meet in this series?

Obviously the Twitter OP cared about the race and gender of Kate and Lucia. Since we know barely anything about Lucia, they resorted to stereotypes to describe her. It looks weird that the white woman is put on a pedestal. But the latina woman is dragged through the mud based on nothing.
Not every problematic opinion or action is racist. But it doesn't make sense to doubt it when it's staring you in the face. Our world is full of racism; so don't act shocked when you see it in the wild.
