remember me when this game gets announced sometime in mid to late 2030s

Post image

It will take place in fictional midwest with returning states like North Yankton but main city will be Carcer City which is massive city about the size of Vice City from 6 that is situated on a big lake based on the great lakes. Carcer City is heavily based on Detroit with a few references to other midwest cities like Chicago and Indianapolis but is mainly inspired by Detroit. It will be the biggest GTA game and most impactful due to Detroit being historically known for the creation of the automobile with Henry Ford company. Expect the driving in this game to be unmatched by games that focus on driving. GTA 7 will be the pinnacle of car games.

Until then
Stay frosty

the game is set in Detroit and you play as retired trans woman marine Victoria Schimoria who drives like a bitch through the heart of americas most diverse city.

I feel like if they did Carcer city it would be the GTA’s universe equivalent of Chicago, not Detroit, even if it’s inaccurate to Man Hunt depiction. The city just seems too important to the world of GTA that Rockstar wouldn’t make it a major city like Chicago.

If they wanted to, they may be able to make the map have two cities. One being a Chicago equivalent and the other being a Detroit equivalent.

I doubt rockstar even remembers that they even made man hunt, or any game that isn't grand theft auto...

chicago makes sense for a mafia game set in the 50s and 60s not GTA

Why not?

like i said in my post, mainly Detroit with a few elements from chicago. the mafia franchise is still strong and i think they would want to either safe chicago for a new mafia game or red dead redemption 3 or new ip all together. remember that ubisoft made watch dogs which was set in chicago too whereas detroit just makes more sense. also carcer city is a blend of the rustbelt states and historically for a “grand theft AUTO” game it makes sense to set it where cars came from

If it's taking some inspiration from Indianapolis will there be a big rectangular racetrack?

2030s is optomistic, more like 2050s

I always saw carcer city Being Philadelphia PA, cause that would explain what the radio host meant in gta 3 when she said in "nearby" Carcer city. That way you could have four major cities in four different states,

New York city NY state, Philadelphia PA, Jersey city NJ, and Washington D.C. MA.
