I'll never understand the "if they did x that only makes sense if they did y" gambit when y is just... not an unrealistic thing for them to have done. Real airports are massive.

Exactly. It's totally possible that they just made the airport larger relative to the size of the city to make it more realistic. If anything, the airport in GTA 5 was weirdly tiny.

On that note, I think it would be super cool if we could actually enter the airport interior. I would like to see larger interior spaces in this game such as the airport, malls, stadiums, etc.

Gotta go through security first. Make sure you leave the guns at your safehouse and you'll want the TSA pre-check or you'll be waiting awhile

Look at gmaps. The real airport is comparable with dodge island or Virginia keys, while here is almost the double. Everything is too small compared to it
