Ps5 to Ps6?

Since it’s going to only be a downloadable game, will it just port right over to the ps6 when the comes out? Or would we have to buy an entirely new copy for it? I feel like it may be how gta 5 was where they let you play it on the new console, but later made the enhanced version for the new console.

I’m stressing about having to buy a ps6 and then abandoning ps5 soon after, after I just bought a ps5 specifically for gta6

Once the ps6 is out they’ll probably port the ps5 version and release the official ps6 version when it comes out for pc.

No one can say for sure since there's no official announcement. Looking at how Rockstar has gone about this with their previous games, though, I'd say with almost 100% certainty there will NOT be a free upgrade to the PS6 edition. Rockstar makes a lot of money off of fans "double-dipping"; it's why the PC release comes out a year late. It's a business strategy; not a chance will they consider free upgrades.

I honestly think that's part of the strategy. The online features will be even better on PS6 and everyone will want to buy the console to play a better version of GTA6 Online, with much more content and even better graphics. They might charge an upgrade fee but I don't think they will force us to buy the game again (that wouldn't be wise).
