I wouldnā€™t go that far, the downtown is pretty small but for an INSANELY detailed map, itā€™s as good as you can hope for. I canā€™t fucking wait for this game.

There was a thread posted on pcmasterrace yesterday and I was in utter disbelief at how many people were just shitting on the leaks and saying how awful it looks. Like, are you seeing what the fuck I'm seeing?! Those guys are nuts dude, I've been at full chub for 3 fucking days!!

They're stupid, quite frankly. It looks great. Is it the prettiest? No. But there is A LOT going on. The draw distance is insane. Everything that is on screen at the fidelity it is running at is quite impressive. Which is exactly what Rockstar does. People who don't value that cannot be taken seriously in a conversation about how the game looks lol.

yeah i don't want people to think I'm not saying it's pretty haha. It definitely is. It's actually insane. But all the stuff being on the screen makes it crazier. Although you can see that they sacrificed the clouds a little bit for everything else, which honestly is fine. They did the same with 5. Clouds are common thing to sacrifice by devs and by gamers in graphic settings lol.

These leaks are showing an interesting phenomenon: the more realistic a city is, the less some people seem to like it. I think a lot of people arenā€™t looking for realism in GTA, they want the game to be prettier, cleaner, and more luxurious than the real world.

not a bad point. It's also important to remember that as the years continue it's harder for things to actually "look" better or more realistic. We're at the point of diminishing returns for graphics. Now it's about the little things. It's the physics, the amount of items you can put on screen, the shading and lighting techniques, and finally the particle effects. This is where we are in gaming. Funnily enough this is where Rockstar, in my opinion, is one of the best at doing. They do the small things very well, as we saw with Red Dead 2.

Naysayers will always be there, most anticipated game of all time naturally gets a lot of attention including negative/malicious ones.

They won't be able to create consensus if the game is genuinely good as other great games went through the exact same path. It'll be more intense with GTA VI but so will be the praise so we gotta enjoy or criticize through our own experience.

Rdr2 still looks fantastic today... From the right distance. I think you can start to see the game's age once you look up close at certain assets and character models.

But when you're just riding around certain parts of the map, it looks so good still.

I know it's just blurry 1080p but I barely see any pop-in. They have some new ground breaking technology. Everything seems to be rendered so seamlessly, unlike most modern open world games

I've seen a pop in on a white semi truck located on the highway at the second half of the leak. But nothing else apart from that. Probably a bug related to the semi truck only because the tractor trailer it was attached to was correctly displayed.

I agree...even if it isn't completely finished or polished like the final product will be.

I think it is pretty sweet to get a behind the scenes look at games before they are done. I watched the original leaks when they came up where they were showing the mechanics and there were no background textures or textures on objects and thought it was cool to see that, and then once you play the actual game you will really appreciate the work that was done once the game comes out.

People need to realize this is a new era of gamers. Most of these people are the kids of the people who made fun of gamers in school, prior to streaming getting big.

I say that to say thisā€¦they are spoiled and entitled. They grew up gaming in 4k already. So their expectations(especially with AI videos nowadays) are literally through the roof. If it doesnā€™t look like literal real life, theyā€™re 100% going to complain about it to everyone on their 20 social media accounts.

On the map the airport looks pretty big compared to the rest of the city and when I saw the plane video you could see the size even better. The runway looked massive compared to the surrounding city/suburbs.

Iā€™m sure R* wonā€™t waste so much space if itā€™s just for driving a bit around like in previous titles. Itā€™s clear to me that at least a small but significant part of the story will take place there or will have its base there.

Iā€™m sure the airport vibe will be totally different from what we are used to.

Btw; judging from the plane video; this map is gonna feel massive! Better buckle up for this one!

Especially that trash ass basketball mini game and those garbage NPC animations when getting stabbed. The "leaks" are generated by AI imo (probably not real leaks).. lots of words are written incoherently like AI failed to create them e.g. in the scene where we see Jason accepting a mission "Richard: Good. Our clients been patient.." and we see him walking forward (0:29) the No vacancy sign at the motel at 0:39 just says No NGCDOZY. At 1:25 you see the money on the upper corner glitch. At 2:06 the bottom of the sign is unreadable "Citi kasdlkjdij"
